Dit is geen restauranttour, het is een reis door de echte wijken van Rio, waar elke hoek een verhaal vertelt en elke hap een stukje ziel van Brazilië draagt. Onder leiding van de gepassioneerde lokale bevolking wandelt u van de stranden van Ipanema naar de bruisende straten van het centrum en proeft u meer dan 15 voedingsmiddelen en dranken die het cariocaleven bepalen, van gouden coxinha's en Amazonese açaí tot vers pastel en koud bier van de tap. Bij elke stop onthult je Gids de geschiedenis, mensen en tradities achter het eten, het soort verhalen dat je niet op Google of in een restaurant vindt. Het is culturele ontdekking vermomd als puur plezier, perfect voor koppels, individuele reizigers en nieuwsgierige fijnproevers die dieper willen verkennen. Een samengestelde stop in Ipanema richtte zich op Braziliaanse producenten, lokale ingrediënten en kleine batchproducten die gasten kennis laten maken met smaken uit het hele land.

Een voorproefje van Noord-Brazilië in Rio, met Amazone- en Pará-geïnspireerd eten, waaronder regionale gerechten en açaí. TasteAtlas noemt het een aanbevolen authentiek restaurant voor açaí na tigela.

Café e Bar Aboim, een kleine lokale boteco, zo verborgen dat het niet eens op Google wordt vermeld. Een no-nonsense Copacabana boteco in de buurt van het strand, met plastic tafels, koud bier, warme pastéis, en de ontspannen sfeer op de stoep waar de lokale bevolking dol op is.
Een creatieve boteco stop met speelse Braziliaanse bar snacks. De beroemde “Porquinho de Quimono” won Comida di Buteco in 2014, en de Copacabana-eenheid serveert de klassieke petisco’s van het merk.
Een van Rio’s bekendste boteco namen, geassocieerd met cold chopp, een levendige carioca bar scene, en zijn beroemde open empada’s.
Een Copacabana instelling opgericht in 1957, beroemd om zijn zeevruchten petisco's, Portugese stijl tapas toonbank, en klassieke Rio bar sfeer. Het werd erkend als Patrimônio Cultural Carioca in 2013.

Oh my goodness Hayza and Pedro were amazing! We had a tour of about 13 people. They let us know the real about Brazilian culture and the food we tried was very unique. I loved everything about our experience! Also, tour is around 4-5 hours long and there is lots of walking so definitely wear tennis shoes!

Hayza and Pedro were very courteous and informative. We enjoyed being introduced to all the different foods and drinks throughout the tour. Even when we enjoyed certain dishes, we had the option to receive a little more of those. This was probably the best food tour I’ve been on; it felt so much like a friendly gathering than just a tour.
