Wij bieden u de mogelijkheid om de unieke geschiedenis van de Olympische spelen te ontdekken met behulp van onze welbespraakte, vriendelijke, lokale gidsen in het Engels. Omdat het heiligdom van Olympia niet in een dag is gebouwd, zijn een paar uur voldoende om een mooie Olympia-tour te ervaren.

Markt van het oude Olympia, Olympia, Griekenland Ontdek de geboorteplaats van de Olympische Spelen door eerst de archeologische vindplaats te bezoeken. Je zult het adembenemende uitzicht op de beroemdste monumenten bewonderen, zoals het oude stadion, dat plaats bood aan 40.000 toeschouwers, de tempel van Zeus en Hera's en nog veel meer.
waar u de metopen van de tempel van Zeus, het prachtige standbeeld van Hermes van Praxiteles, het standbeeld van Nike van Paionios en de helm van Miltiades, een beroemde generaal uit de Perzische oorlogen, zult zien. U kunt ook een bezoek brengen aan het Museum van de Geschiedenis van de Spelen, waar u meer te weten kunt komen over het ontstaan van de Olympische Spelen en de sporten die daarbij hoorden.

Een geweldige plek voor de zomer met prachtig uitzicht op de baai van de Ionische Zee waar u kunt genieten van een drankje en zwemmen.
We bezoeken het klooster als je het tourschema wilt volgen, anders kunnen we op dezelfde afstand een andere plaats naar keuze bezoeken. Het klooster ligt tussen de dorpen Lanthi en Labeti op een steile rots met een geweldig uitzicht op de berg Erymanthos en het bos van Foloi.

Onze ontmoetingsplaats is de eerste afslag van de haven van Katakolon. Bij uw aankomst in de haven zal ik er zijn om u op te halen met ons voertuig en u een rondleiding te geven die maximaal 4-5 uur duurt. Ik zal een bord vasthouden met je naam erop, zodat je me gemakkelijk kunt herkennen. Buiten het servicegebied is op aanvraag beschikbaar.

We had a fantastic experience! Panos was our guide. The beautiful, spacious Mercedes mini van picked us up and took us to Olympia to see the incredible sites. He was a knowledgeable, kind and patient guide … making sure we all had waters and worked the tour to fit our schedule. He took us to an incredible seafood restaurant for lunch , waited for us the entire time and took us right back to the boat. I would highly recommend this company. Just a great all around experience!
Christos was amazing. He had so much history to share and knew where to go to make the most of our time. He was kind, open to anything we wanted to see or change, and filled with suggestions that made for a fantastic day for us and our adult children. Besides the Olympic ruins, our favorite thing was Klio’s honey farm. Klio taught us about her family business and so much about bee keeping/honey making. This tour added a great local feel to Olympia. We highly recommend Christos to all!
Marilena was an excellent host for 4 ladies - she met us in time, took us to the Olympic ruins, a honey farm and an olive oil producer - she was professional, friendly and gave us lots of insights along the way. Wonderful day!
Demetria made our family's introduction to Olympia absolutely seamless and memorable. She was easy to spot when we arrived, and from there, everything went beautifully. She had a genuine warmth with our kids and kept us all engaged with thoughtful insights about local economics, culture, and olive cultivation. What really stood out was her patience at the museum—she gave us exactly the time we needed without any rush. But the real magic was her restaurant recommendation: through her personal connection, she introduced us to To Kupua, where the owner and staff treated us like family. It was genuinely the best meal we had on our entire trip. The car was impeccably clean and Demetria's driving was confident and safe. For families coming off a cruise looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy guide who actually cares about your experience, she's the real deal.
Panos is a lovely young man- he is very knowledgeable, punctual & is great at communicating. His English is very good. He also got us to the front of the queue at the museum!
Nancy is the best tour guide. She took us to places that the tour busses don’t go to. If you wish to immerse yourself into the local culture, people, food, wine and lifestyle, this day tour will tick all of your boxes. Nancy was super fun and the real deal. I would not consider this a tour. It was a taxi driver who picks you up and takes you to Olympia. It would be cheaper to just get a taxi at the port. If you want a true tour book elsewhere.

This was an amazing tour, very tailored to our interests and needs! Andreas showed us beautiful flowers & other vegetation, and olive trees in bloom. We went to the top of a monastery, with gorgeous views, and an incredible quiet peacefulness. We had an overview of the Olympic grounds, and Andreas provided interesting historical information. We had a tour of an olive mill, with tastings, and I even had some of the flavored oils shipped home! We were hurrying to get back to our ship, but Andreas knew where to get grilled sardines (a Greek speciality) and salads to go. He delivered us back in perfect time! This tour was a highlight of our entire trip...I can't recommend Taxi Katakolo highly enough!!!
