Deze halve dag Minneriya National Park safari geeft je de kans om getuige te zijn van een groot aantal Sri Lankaanse olifanten die zich tijdens het droge seizoen aangetrokken voelen tot grasvelden aan de randen van het reservoir. De Minneriya-tank draagt bij aan het behoud van een grote kudde. De olifanten die hier worden verzameld, lopen rond de 150-200. Sommige rapporten verklaren het aantal olifanten tot wel 700. Ze migreren hier vanuit Wasgamuwa National Park en profiteren van voedsel en beschutting van het bos van het park. Toeristen bezoeken Minneriya voornamelijk vanwege olifanten, vooral in het droge seizoen.

Je wordt opgehaald van Sigiriya door onze jeepbestuurder en meegenomen om te genieten van een avontuurlijke halve dag safari in Minneriya National Park. Bij aankomst in het park kunt u genieten van een gedenkwaardige 3 uur jeepsafari met ons team. Minneriya National Park is naar verluidt de grootste bekende wilde Aziatische olifantenvergadering op één plaats in de wereld. De faunale soorten van het nationale park omvatten 24 soorten zoogdieren, 160 soorten vogels, 9 soorten amfibieën, 25 soorten reptielen, 26 soorten vissen en 75 soorten vlinders. Deze halve dag Minneriya National Park safari geeft je voornamelijk de kans om 100 wilde olifanten tegelijk te spotten. Na de safari word je teruggebracht naar je hotel in Dambulla.

I visited Sri Lanka for two weeks and absolutely loved it! The people were super friendly and the food was delicious. If you're into wildlife safaris, I highly recommend Minneriya it’s the perfect spot, especially for elephant lovers ❤️
Our hostel ”New Dambulla city hostel” arranged a safari jeep to pick us up at the hostel and drove us straight to the safari. The safari was great and we saw alot of amazing elephants which was a really nice experience!

Hello, early in the morning we start the safari. We were picked up in front of our hostel. (The Dambulla City Hostel, a beautiful place where we had a good time). After that, the guide showed us beautiful places in the minneriya park. We also saw lots of elephants! That was really amazing to come them that close. :) The guide was very friendly & we also got a lunchbox at the beginning of the tour.
