Our guide Hardik from Young's Tours was fantastic, picked us up at our hotel, took us by Metro, and made every effort to bring the S and J Studio sets and rooms to life. Unfortunately, the studios seemed old, with little connection to Bollywood, as mostly commercial advertisements are produced there. The dancing by young Indian dancers was interesting. The many long videos between the dances did not seem interesting to me.

All major studios are historic and have been part of the Indian film industry for decades. Today, these studios are actively used not only for Bollywood films, but also for TV serials, web series, and commercial advertising, which are all important parts of the modern Bollywood industry. The dance performances are presented by young professional dancers to showcase current Bollywood styles, which we believe reflects today’s industry better than traditional performances. The video presentations are included to give guests a deeper understanding of Bollywood’s history, evolution, and working culture, though we understand that preferences can vary from person to person.
