Tijdens deze 4-5 uur durende unieke workshop Dumpling wordt je meegenomen naar een authentieke lokale specerijenmarkt om deze te verkennen met leuke uitdagingen om verschillende soorten Sichuan-kruiden en -ingrediënten die in de volgende kookcursus zullen worden gebruikt, te voltooien en te leren. De les zal worden uitgevoerd in een traditionele binnenplaats in Sichuan stijl. Je wordt behandeld met Sichuan lokale thee zoals het gebruikelijk is om vrienden en bezoekers te behandelen. Daarna zal je gids zijn om het kookproces te starten door een professionele kok in een gezellige keuken. Ten slotte kunt u genieten van de dumplings met heerlijke vullingen die door uzelf zijn gemaakt, samen met een aantal bieren of drankjes. Want het is echt informatief, interessant en leuk, deze les wordt een onvergetelijke ervaring in je leven.

I did a private class that focused on baozi and dumplings together and had a wonderful experience. Lance was my guide and I really enjoyed the chef as well. She had a great personality. The language barrier was no issue. Lance was there to translate and you can always find a way to communicate. It was a treat to make the doughs and a couple of fillings. Everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend their classes. Thank you Chilli Cool!

Great market tour and dumpling lesson led by Lance with help in the kitchen from Ms. Li. We learned a lot about Sichuanese ingredients and different folding techniques for the jiaozi. Great afternoon and kids especially enjoyed it.

We loved the visit to the market and also the kitchen and the preparation of the dumping both Li and Lance very nice is very attentive, really good, highly recommended experience even with small children

It was awesome. Jerry is so friendly. He takes you to the farmer’s market and shares Chinese culture with you. Then, we went to the Workshop and the chef helps you make the dumplings. Jerry helps translate and cheers you on when the folding gets tough lol. We got to enjoy the dumplings we created! It was a really nice afternoon talking to Jerry and getting to know Chinese culture and cruisine.

Jerry started our tour with a nice introduction of Chengdu, before he took us to the food market where we could buy all our ingredients. We were the only 2 joining the sessions, and Jerry tailored the menu to our vegetarian preferences. He gave a very clear and kind tutorial on how to make the dumpling dough, the filling and then how to give the dumplings nice typical shapes. He was very invested in us, so we would really recommend him and this workshop!

Met our guide Lance at the metro stop — very easy to find. We had a fun walk through a real local market before heading to the spotless, professional Chilli Cool China kitchen. A Chinese chef showed us how to make the fillings and dough, and we got to roll and shape our own dumplings (with mixed success, but lots of laughs!). We then enjoyed our work with refreshments . Lance was knowledgeable, kind, and even sent us recipes and videos afterward via WeChat. Really great experience — I highly recommend this booking!

This was a lovely way to learn the intricacies of making Chinese dumplings. It is a learned skill to make the beautiful shapes. Did you ever wonder what was in dumplings or in the sauces that we eat with them? The professional chef talks you through step by step on what the ingredients are and how to use them. This experience was truly amazing. We had a wonderful English speaking guide who walked us through local markets and explained everything we were curious about. We learned to much about tradition and culture in China. After our market walk we went to the kitchen had a lunch break and ate snacks we bought from the market. When the dumpling cooking class started they very detailed explained every steps of how to make the fillings and the reason why they put the things in. The chef and the guide learned us amazing techniques on how to make dumplings. After the dumplings were done, we had a nice chat about China while eating the dumplings. We highly recommend this experience !!
