Als je Amsterdam op een dieper niveau wilt leren kennen, dan ben je hier zeker op de juiste plek! De Jordaan is de ziel van Amsterdam, zijn geschiedenis, tradities en gevoel voor humor. Waarom? Want hier vind je alle schatten die Amsterdammers zorgvuldig verborgen houden voor de toeristen: gezellige binnenplaatsen, mooie kunstgalerijen, locals die gezellig met hun kopje koffie of een dagblad zitten te genieten van de zon, de beste zaterdagmarkt en nog veel meer geheime plekken ! We zullen onderweg veel belangrijke dingen zien, zoals het smalste huis, het Nederlandse West-Indische huis, veel mooie woonboten en het enige drijvende kattenasiel ter wereld! Tot snel! Station Amsterdam Centraal is ons ontmoetingspunt. Dit gebouw staat bekend om zijn prachtige interieur, exterieur en historische omgeving! Daar vertellen we graag meer over de geschiedenis van de Jordaan - onze bestemming;
Grachtengordel van Amsterdam Beroemde grachtengordel - laten we eens kijken naar prachtige koopmanshuizen uit de 17e eeuw en gezellige woonboten! Samen met u ontdekken we meer over de Nederlandse kolonisatie, de maritieme geschiedenis van Nederland en belangrijke figuren uit oude tijden! Slenterend langs de grachten vinden we het smalste huis, het Nederlandse West-Indische huis, en verdwalen dan op de gezellige binnenplaatsen! We zullen wat lokale kunst ontdekken, de "bruine" bar bezoeken en zelfs de beste appeltaart proeven die zeer gewaardeerd werd door Bill Clinton!
De Poezenboot is het enige drijvende kattenopvangcentrum ter wereld. Hier vertellen we u over de Nederlandse houding ten opzichte van huisdieren en delen we enkele feiten over Amsterdam als natuurvriendelijke stad.
Lutherse kerk, Noorderkerk en Westerkerk - laten we die majestueuze kerken eens beter bekijken, waar je meer te weten kunt komen over de Tachtigjarige Oorlog, de gevolgen ervan en de moderne houding ten opzichte van religie;
Noordermarkt - levendig marktplein in het hart van de Jordaan! Daar zullen we meer te weten komen over de lokale geschiedenis, tradities, rellen en andere belangrijke gebeurtenissen, die dit gebied zo anders maakten dan alle andere! Het plein wordt vooral druk op zaterdag, wanneer hier de boerenmarkt plaatsvindt. De beste plek om Nederlandse lekkernijen te proeven, zoals haring, oesters of kaas!
De Jordaan staat ook bekend als een van de meest creatieve wijken van Amsterdam. Daarom willen we je graag kennis laten maken met enkele lokale kunstgalerijen, designwinkels en een ongewoon labyrinthotel, waar je versteld van zult staan!
Westerkerk & Anna Frankhuis - waar we graag vertellen over de Joodse diaspora en de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Belangrijk! Bij deze tour is het bezoek aan het Anna Frank Museum niet inbegrepen.

Maria was spectacular, shes very knowledgable about the city. We walked, talked, got some coffee and explored the JORDAAN area. She knows her architecture, the differing neighborhoods and the people who live there. She was such a delight in every way. I look forward to more tours with her in the future. I highly recommend her

We wanted to get a tour of Jordaan during a market day so this was a perfect tour for us. Our lovely guide Maria was flexible in adjusting to our family of 4 and also gave us time to explore the market on our own and the opportunity to enjoy some local treats. Nice and relaxing tour - we did it as a private option. Maria was flexible and accommodated our request for a meeting spot closer to our hotel. She was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned quite a bit about the Dutch culture in general. Overall I would definitely recommend this tour with Maria if you are in Amsterdam.

It was one of more than 10 tours for discovering beautiful Netherlands with Snurk.Travel and professional guide Anastasia Afonina. I would say- somehow the helped me to find a second home: when the Ukrainian war started - I didn’t think too much where to relocate my family as aa”safe harbour” - i was already in love with Netherlands. We did the tour with Sasha and it was really amazing He took us through different parts of the city, along the canals, and could give many interesting insights, both on new developments in the city, and its rich history. During the tour, we also had time to sit down at a small cafè and enjoy a typical Dutch apple pie. Sasha could answer all of our questions, would offer us different routes, depending on where we wanted to finish the tour, and was just very knowledgeable about the whole city. The tour was also really interactive, less of a presentation and more of just a conversation between us, which we also really enjoyed. We would really recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about Amsterdam in a personal setting.
