Een bezoek aan de beroemdste township van Zuid-Afrika kan lastig zijn om zelfstandig te doen. Als je Soweto met ons bezoekt, kun je de South Western Township van Johannesburg verkennen met onze gids die van binnen en van buiten weet en zelfs daar is geboren en getogen. Je hoort persoonlijke inzichten in de cultuur van de township en leert over de levendige moderne persoonlijkheid van Soweto. De Soweto-tour neemt je mee diep in de township-cultuur. Deze tour geeft je de mogelijkheid om ons lokale restaurant in Soweto te bezoeken, waar je Zuid-Afrikaanse gerechten kunt proeven (buffet). Het Hector Pieterson Museum is een groot museum in Orlando West, Soweto, Zuid-Afrika, twee blokken verwijderd van waar Hector Pieterson op 16 juni 1976 werd neergeschoten en vermoord.
Het Nelson Mandela National Museum, gewoonlijk Mandela House genoemd, is het huis aan Vilakazi Street, Orlando West, Soweto, Zuid-Afrika, waar Nelson Mandela van 1946 tot 1962 woonde.
Bezoek aan Freedom Charter. Het Handvest werd officieel aangenomen op zondag 26 juni 1955 tijdens een bijeenkomst van ongeveer 3.000 mensen, bekend als het Congress of the People in Kliptown, Soweto. ... Het handvest roept ook op tot democratie en mensenrechten, landhervorming, arbeidsrechten en nationalisatie. We gaan dan naar een lokaal restaurant om te lunchen (buffet).

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour today. My tour guide Brian was very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend taking this tour. It gives you a very good introduction to Soweto and the Apartheid Museum.
Nathi our guide was the reason I went from a half day to full day booking. Very respectful , knowledgeable and fun as well. The apartheid museum is a must see but so is constitutional hill...I think that's the name. Overall great experience.
Our guide Nathi was an excellent driver and so well educated on the history of this country. He did an excellent job of moving us to the sites. He had so much to tell us and if someone had an additional question he knew the answer. Much of this tour is emotionally challenging and is history we need to better understand.
We booked our tour with Philippians 4 four and our guide Tempo was excellent. He picked us up at our hotel right on time and shared with us a lot of South African history as we drove to the Apartheid museum. The Apartheid Museum was amazing and our knowledge base regarding Apartheid increased by 150%. It is a must see. Then on to Soweta, the area where Blacks were pushed to live during Apartheid, We learned about the Soweto Uprising, toured the Nelson Mandela house, learned about Hector Pietersen and how his death impacted continued violence and visited his well-planned memorial. We visited Vilakazi Street where two Nobel Prize winners, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu, lived. We stopped for a buffet lunch of South African food. This tour is a must see.
