Halfdaagse trip naar de lavendel in Sault met kleine groepen

This was a moment i have dreamed about and what i experienced was beyond expectations - loved it. words cannot be enough to describe it. just book with a la française provence and live the experience ! pur guide Yanis who is a student in history at the university of avignon was very professional kind and always there to respond to our questions in french and english. We were just 5 (3 American ladies from Boston/Maine, a japanese student doing 6 month of french immersion in Paris and myself (Malagasy American and French). pictures speak by themselves! merci Yanis!

That was a wonderful and unforgettable journey to the capital of Lavender. Everything was thoroughly organized. Tour began punktuell on time and ended exactly as planned. The transport vehicle was comfortable. Our tour leader, Sam, was great. The choice of fields to take photos was also ideal. I think the best time in the year to reserve this tour is mid July.

Absolutely a waste of money. Driver Oliver couldn’t find any Lavender fields when he did he stated” all these fields are abandoned by the farmers” well in reality peek viewing had passed. We drove off road twice turning to find a field. One of these off road adventures caused him to smack the back of the bus into a tree and he promptly stated ah not my my van. We were supposed to see a Lavender distillery when we arrived it was a store No distillery tour of an operational distillery since it was closed. We were supposed to visit the town of Sault for 1 hour it was 20 minutes. Unfortunately this was due to him spending 30 mins in one of the half dead fields videoing 1 of the ladies on the tour. As well as doing her still photography. Because he was a bit late on the return his driving was reckless and was driving way above the speed limit. At the end I order to secure a tip he stood at the van door asking if we could make change. Will never do another Viator Tour again.

I took this tour in Provence in early July 2019 and the lavender was spectacular. Jerome provided an informative tour about the region of Provence and the lavender. We enjoyed each stop and had plenty of time to take photos in the fields. The afternoon wasn't too hot although there was a heatwave during the summer. This tour is a definite must if you are staying in Avignon. The experience was well worth it.

NOTE: We took the Lavender Day Trip with a small group. I did not see this as a selection. We were picked up promptly at 8:00 by our guide, Jerome. We then headed to Avignon to pick up four more riders, making us a group of seven. We would our way through Provence and traveling 170 miles for the day. Along the way we stopped at the market in Bonnieux and at Gordes for lunch. Late afternoon we arrived at Sault to visit the incredible lavender fields. Beautiful! We stopped at several other places where Jerome would explain about what we were seeing and let us experience the moment. We had an incredible day and loved every moment of it. Would love to have Jerome as our guide again!

I took half day lavender tour with them on July 1st week and paid amount to the driver as cash after reaching back Avignon. Afternoon the tour manager called me and argued saying that I didn’t pay the money. That manager Sophie embarrassed me saying that I am lying. I challenged her saying that I am ready to go to police station to prove this ambiguity. In fact their driver cum tour guide played a nasty game in between when he got €155 as cash in hand. The agency should do character/sanity check of their staff before assigning them in such duties. The tour itself very poorly managed starting from the beginning!!! Be careful and never pay your trip charge in cash to their drivers. The driver had taken my email address to send the receipt but never received the same till date !!
