Halve dagtour naar de Macocha Abyss en de Punkva-grotten
Beschrijving
In een halve dag bezoekt u de barokke kerk, verkent u de Punkva-grotten en de Macocha-afgrond, en als de tijd nog over is - proeft u Tsjechische traditionele gerechten. De Punkva grotten zijn een van de vijf grote grotten in de Moravische Karst bij BRNO in Tsjechië die het hele jaar door voor het publiek toegankelijk zijn. Een deel van de rondleiding door de grotten is te voet en het tweede deel is in elektrische boot wat het uniek maakt. Wanneer we elkaar ontmoeten zal ik u voorzien van een AUDIO-bestand (via Whats Up) in het Engels beschrijven van de rondleiding, omdat je deel uitmaakt van een rondleiding in het Tsjechisch. De tour is veilig, verlicht en daarom hoeft u zich geen zorgen te maken over eventuele moeilijkheden.

Geniet van een populaire excursie van een halve dag naar de Punkva-grotten en Macocha Abyss, die ongeveer 33 km ten noordoosten van BRNO liggen. Het combineert een stukje architectuur in het kleine dorpje Křtiny met een prachtige barokke kerk. Het dorp ligt op de grens van het natuurreservaat Moravische Karst. Het is een klein, klein dorpje met een ENORME barokke kerk. Het is eigenlijk schokkend als je het dorp binnenrijdt en dit gigantische barokke bedevaartsoord, de Kerk van de Heilige Maagd Maria, en andere gebouwen ziet waaruit dit Premonstratenzer klooster bestaat, die het landschap positief domineren. Je weet meteen waarom het de "parel van Moravië" wordt genoemd. Er is ook een knekelhuis onder de kerk met twaalf schedels met de letter "T" erop geschilderd.
Daarna bezoeken we de Moravische Karst vol grotten, bezoeken de Macocha afgrond, de Punkva Grot, (HET HELE JAAR GEOPEND) waar u deelneemt aan een uur durende rondleiding in het Tsjechisch (u kunt Engelse vertaling downloaden bij de ingang van de grotten). Zorg ervoor dat je warme kleding meeneemt, want het hele jaar door is de temperatuur plus 6 C. Aan het einde van de tour is er een leuke verrassing voor je, maar ik vertel het je niet. Degenen die genieten van gemakkelijke 20 minuten lopen kan terug naar de belangrijkste parkeerplaats lopen.

Helena was a great host. Very friendly and kind. Knows a lot about the area and was very flexible. I brought my dad to Europe to have surgery so I was travelling by myself while not at the hospital. I really enjoyed having someone to spend time with and tell me about the area.

Helen was our tour guide. I can't say enough about how fantastic she was. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the caves. She ensured we had all our needs met and questions answered. I would book any tour with Helen again! We had a delightful traditional lunch and she gave us a ride to another place and included history/info continuously as we went. Every part of this tour was fantastic. The trip through the mountains was beautiful and a welcome break from the city. On the way up to the abyss, Helena, the guide through most of the tour, was incredibly nice and told us many interesting details about the area and its history. We also stopped at a really impressive church hidden in a sleepy village and where she let us roam around and take pictures. The abyss and cave were beautiful and the boat ride was a really fun way to explore even more of the cave. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Brno.

The best part of the tour was actually the experience with the guide Helen. She is very personable and knowledgeable of the area. She fitted the tour to my needs and made the whole experience one I will definitely remember. The caves are beautiful and I highly recommend visiting them, but the additional information provided by Helen made the entire tour worth all the time spent. Also her English is impeccable.
