U kunt alleen met familie en vrienden genieten van een rondleiding met gids. Deze tour is een tour met het openbaar vervoer. Gidsen en je gaat naar de bestemming met de bullet train of Limited Express Odakyu Romance Car vanuit Tokio Het is een aanbevolen tour voor degenen die de JR Rail Pass hebben. De bestemmingen van de tour zijn het Hakone Open-Air Museum, Lake Ashinoko, Owakudani en Hakone Shrine. Hakone-schrijn werd gesticht in het jaar 757. het staat bekend als een beroemde "krachtplek".
Het Ashinoko-meer wordt gevormd wanneer stortingen van afvallawine de Hakone-rivier hebben geblokkeerd nadat één van de vulkanen in Hakone ongeveer 3000 jaar geleden uitbrak. Als u wilt genieten van het landschap vanaf het meer, is het een goed idee om een kajuitboot te nemen die in dienst is vanaf vier havens van het meer.
Owakudani is zo'n 3000 jaar geleden gemaakt tijdens de laatste uitbarsting van Mt. Hakone. Witte rook en de geur van zwavel drijven rond de stenen vallei en je voelt de vulkanische activiteit.
De kunstwerken zijn gevarieerd en interessant (door zowel Japanse en westerse kunstenaars), het uitzicht is geweldig en de curation is perfect. De combinatie van natuur en kunst op zijn best! Er is ook een voetenbad waar u uw benen kunt weken in warm water.

This full day trip to Hakone is highlighted by the views of Mt Fuji and the outdoor sculpture garden. It involves quite a bit of walking so come prepared for that.
We really appreciate the tour guide, Akira. It would not be possible for us to navigate the logistics of tour to Hakone from Tokyo with public transportation. It's definitely a very fun and unique way to experience the culture.There are so many different lines and connections to make, sometimes we have to combine two tickets and put them through the ticket machine which is something I would never have imagined. Akira is very nice and he knows where the picturesque spots are and he volunteered to take pictures for us. We got to tour the 4 major attractions as planned. It's overall a very rewarding experience for us.
We visited Hakone on a torrentially rainy day which unfortunately did not afford us the ability to catch glimpses of Mt. Fuji. Our tour guide Yumiko San was wonderful. We told her what we absolutely didn’t want to miss - she made sure we didn’t miss. Despite the pouring rain she brought yo us to the Picasso open air museum. She also stayed on for a while longer - so all our must do/must see were done. We would highly recommend her as she is very knowledgeable and very patient.

This was, hands down, our favorite tour we took on our Tokyo vacation. We are a family of five and our guide, Harry, made sure we all enjoyed every single second of our trip. There's no way we could've seen all we saw and made all the various connections to the cable car, rope-way, open air museum, shrine, bus without his expert planning. This was money well spent and allowed us to fully enjoy our day instead of worrying that we had walked a mile to wrong bus stop, etc.
