Haifa Port Shore Excursion: Nazareth en Zee van Galilea-dagtour vanuit de haven van Haifa

Deze Nazareth en Galilea-tour is voor cruiseschippassagiers die aanmeren in Haifa. Nadat je van boord bent gegaan en je gids hebt ontmoet, word je naar het ouderlijk huis van Jezus, Nazareth, gereden. Daar bezoekt u de Kerk van de Aankondiging en bezoekt u de grotten onder de Sint-Jozefkerk. De tour verlaat Nazareth en passeert Mary's Well, op weg naar de berg der zaligsprekingen. Onderweg ga je door Kfar Kanna (Kana). Bezoek de kerk gebouwd op de berg der zaligsprekingen en geniet van het adembenemende uitzicht op het Meer van Galilea beneden. Vervolgens neemt de tour je mee naar Tabgha, de plaats van de kerk van de broden en vissen waar Jezus de massa voedde. Ga verder naar Kfar Nachum (Kafarnaüm), dat een prominente plaats inneemt in het Eerste Testament. De tour neemt een lunchpauze in een lokaal restaurant voordat je doorgaat naar Yardenit. Deze traditionele doopplaats aan de rivier de Jordaan wordt bezocht door christenen van over de hele wereld. Als we tijd hebben, kun je je laten dopen in Yardenit voordat we terugkeren naar Haifa en je cruiseschip.

Je bezoekt de prachtige Kerk van de Aankondiging die staat op wat wordt verondersteld het ouderlijk huis van de Maagd Maria te zijn geweest.
Nazareth wordt in het Nieuwe Testament de geboorteplaats van Maria en Jozef genoemd, en later de stad waar Jezus de eerste jaren van zijn leven doorbracht
Verken de 1e-eeuwse grotwoning onder de Sint-Jozefkerk. Volgens de traditie hebben Maria, Jozef en hun zoon Jezus hier ooit gewoond
De berg der zaligsprekingen kijkt uit over het Meer van Galilea en wordt vandaag bekroond met een prachtige kerk. Op de hellingen van deze berg zou Jezus de Bergrede hebben gehouden. De kerk die we vandaag zien, werd gebouwd in de jaren 1930 en ontworpen door de beroemde architect Antonio Barhuzzi.
De tour neemt je mee naar de rand van het Meer van Galilea en de berg der zaligsprekingen. Hier kun je je Jezus voorstellen die predikt tot zijn volgelingen. Bezoek de zaligsprekingskerk die uitkijkt over het Meer van Galilea.
In Tabgha bezoeken we de Vermenigvuldigingskerk waar Jezus op wonderbaarlijke wijze vijf broden en twee vissen deelde tussen duizenden volgelingen.
Bezoek Kfar Nachum (Kafarnaüm), ooit de geboorteplaats van Peter, Andrew, John en James. Hier baseerde Jezus zich tijdens zijn bediening; bezwoer demonen uit en genas de slaaf van een Romeinse centurio. De belangrijkste christelijke plaatsen in Kafarnaüm zijn tegenwoordig het opgegraven Byzantijnse dorp; de overblijfselen van een synagoge uit de 1e eeuw en een achthoekige kerk gebouwd rond de overblijfselen van wat vermoedelijk het huis van Sint-Pieters was.
Op het zuidelijkste punt van de zee waar de rivier de Jordaan uit de Kinneret stroomt, ligt de doopplaats Yardenit. Als er genoeg tijd is, mag je hier gedoopt worden zoals Jezus was.

We were unfortunate enough to be in Israel when the Hamas attack took place. We had just boarded our BeinHarim Tour bus and were headed for our first stop when the guide received the telephone call and we had to abandon the tour and be taken back to our Cruise Ship. BeinHarim were top class throughout. They got us back safely and then, as we had booked direct through them, processed full refunds for us for both this tour and the one we had booked two days later to Jerusalem from Ashdod. The refunds were back on my card within 3 days. I will certainly use BeinHarim again when I return to Israel to complete the tours I was unable to take this time around. First Class Customer Service
Swimming in the river Jordan was a high light for me also visiting all the places that Jesus performed his miracles was a seminal moment for me, it give me great pause as I reflected on where I was and what was before my eyes. Jonathan our tour guide he was very knowledgeable, accommodating & multi-lingual, he was patient with our friend who is not very mobile but this trip meant so much to her and he helped her fulfill her dream. So a big Kudos to him. Will definitely recommend this tour to anyone

Our tour ended up wasting an entire hour by turning the bus around to get a few people who were supposed to be meeting us by the ship, but never showed up! A few minutes of "courtesy waiting is ok and expected when a cruise ship unloads passengers but the fact that we turned around, yet never got the people wasted everyones time! We also spent a lots of time in a gift shop... Not needed. The visit to Yardenit ended up being very long as several people ended up getting babtized in the Jordan river. The worst of the tour was that we went to visit a "kibbuts" to have lunch. The price was 25euros per person and not even anything special. We did not eat. Instead, waited again for other people. A long day with lots of walking and waiting around. You will see many holy sites, but I think a mini bus tour option would be better. Too many people on the tour.

This trip was super informative and our guide Thelma was amazing. The only complaint noted is that when I booked the excursions it said lunch wasn’t included with no other inform proved. I assumed we would be in an area where we would have our own time to eat (given it was an 8hr excursion). Instead, we were all taken to a reception hall and were forced to purchase a meal at 25 euro per head. There was no other options as you were out in the middle of nowhere. This should definitely have been disclosed up front as me and my family of 4 had budgeted half that price for lunch. Not cool at all and felt like a scam.
