Door heel Sicilië ontdekken we de schoonheid van dit prachtige eiland met zijn karakteristieke landschappen. Aankomst in Agrigento en rondleiding door de spectaculaire Valle dei Templi. De overblijfselen van de Hellenistische en vervolgens Punisch-Romeinse stad, de imposante Dorische tempels, de Agora, vormen de rijkdom van een site die zich uitstrekt over ongeveer 1300 hectare en die een duizendjarige geschiedenis vertelt die begon in de VIe eeuw.C. met de oprichting van de oude Griekse kolonie Akragas. Volg de gids om een plek te verkennen die wordt gekenmerkt door een ongeëvenaarde historische charme, waar de tijd lijkt te zijn gestopt. Inspiratiebron voor dichters, filosofen en schilders, dat van de Tempelvallei is een van de meest emblematische parken van Sicilië, evenals de best bewaarde archeologische site. Ik kom terug om 14:00 uur voor lunch.

Magnificent site accompanied by Salvatore, a passionate guide.
It is worth checking the dates of this tour from Cefalu when booking a hotel. We loved the tour and managed to take it on our booking out day from our hotel because the tour operators were brilliant, keeping our cases safe for us in the coach. We had arranged this prior to the tour. The tour is worth while from Cefalu. The temples are magnificently well preserved and walking was easy enough at a steady pace with time to appreciate them. We did not want to stay in Agrigento town so this worked out brilliantly. The guides were great.
The views were amazing! Our guide was very knowledgable and we learned a lot! We have nmany beautinful pictures. The timilng of the trip was perfect. Just enough time to see everything. A definitel must see while in Sicily!

The guide (Salvatore) was fantastic- very engaging and knowledgeable. The tour itself was good although a long drive. The tour met at 8am and we didn’t get back to the drop off point until 530pm. Note that you can swim at the lunch place.
