Haal het meeste uit uw bezoek aan Krakau met onze gecombineerde tour naar Auschwitz-Birkenau en de fabriek van Oskar Schindler. De tour duurt een hele dag en is een geweldige manier om twee van de absolute hoogtepunten in de regio te bezoeken, evenals een aantal uitzonderlijke monumenten uit de Poolse en Joodse geschiedenis. In Auschwitz-Birkenau hebt u de gelegenheid om een eerbetoon te brengen aan de slachtoffers van de Holocaust en in de fabriek van Oskar Schindler ontdekt u het verhaal van een man die alles op alles zette om de levens van Joodse mensen te redden.

Onze tour start met vervoer vanuit Krakau, vanaf uw opgegeven hotel of een ontmoetingspunt naar keuze. Het Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum bevindt zich in Oswiecim, op ongeveer 1 uur en 15 minuten afstand (65 km). Al onze chauffeurs beschikken over de benodigde EU-certificeringen voor personenvervoer. Een vriendelijke, Engelstalige groepsleider staat voor u klaar om u te helpen wanneer dat nodig is. Bij aankomst in Oswiecim heeft u een korte pauze om een kopje koffie te drinken of de buitententoonstellingen te verkennen. Daarna wordt u voorgesteld aan een professionele lokale gids, gelicentieerd door het Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
Begin uw tour door de poort van Auschwitz I te lopen, het eerste kamp, dat aanvankelijk was opgericht als concentratiekamp voor Poolse burgers die waren gearresteerd nadat Duitsland het land in 1939 had geannexeerd. Je passeert onder het beruchte bord "Arbeit Macht Frei" (Werk maakt je vrij). Dit deel van de tour duurt meestal twee uur, waarbij je een headset gebruikt om je Gids duidelijk te horen. De groepsgrootte is beperkt tot 30 personen, volgens de voorschriften van het Museum, waardoor een comfortabele en toegankelijke ervaring voor alle deelnemers is gegarandeerd. Verken de originele houten barakken, versterkte muren, prikkeldraadhekken, gaskamers en crematoria, die samen een spookachtige impressie achterlaten en bezoekers de immense omvang van de Holocaust laten begrijpen. Na het eerste kamp heeft u een korte pauze van maximaal 15 minuten. Hierna nemen we u mee naar het tweede deel van de tour: Birkenau (Auschwitz II), dat op slechts 3 minuten afstand ligt. Birkenau, het grootste kamp, werd gebouwd en geëxploiteerd met als enige doel om Europa "Judenrein" (vrij van Joden) te maken. Uw gids vervolgt het krachtige verhaal in Birkenau, gelegen in het dorp Brzezinka. Het kamp werd in 1941 gebouwd in opdracht van SS-commandant Heinrich Himmler en kon ongeveer 90.000 gevangenen huisvesten. U hoort aangrijpende verhalen over de wrede leefomstandigheden, het wrede selectieproces en de pseudowetenschappelijke medische experimenten die werden uitgevoerd door nazi-artsen, waaronder Josef Mengele. De tour eindigt met een verhaal over de bevrijding, toen soldaten van het 60e Leger van het Eerste Oekraïense Front op 27 januari 1945 de poorten van Auschwitz openden. U beseft nu dat een dergelijke genocide nooit had mogen plaatsvinden, en ook nooit meer mag gebeuren.
Aan het einde van de tour word je niet opgejaagd. Je hebt minstens 15 minuten pauze. Na nog eens 1 uur en 15 minuten reizen word je naar het Schinder's Factory Museum gebracht.
Uw tour Leider begeleidt u naar het museum en helpt u bij het entreeproces voordat uw zelfstandige bezoek begint. Oskar Schindler’s Factory presenteert het verhaal van een man die zich tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog toelegde op het redden van het leven van Joodse mensen. Het museum portretteert Krakau ook onder de nazi-bezetting door middel van meeslepende en interactieve tentoonstellingen, waardoor bezoekers de sfeer van de stad in die tijd kunnen ervaren. Uw ticket is inclusief toegang tot het museum en onafhankelijke sightseeing in uw eigen tempo.

- TOEGANG : Omdat het in het museum Auschwitz Birkenau & Schindler’s Factory verplicht is om uw persoonlijke gegevens te bevestigen, dient u een paspoort of ID mee te nemen dat u bij de ingang van het museum moet tonen. Vergeet het alsjeblieft niet, anders mag je het museum misschien niet in.
- BEZOEK: Tijdens hun verblijf in de kampen dienen bezoekers zich gepast en respectvol te gedragen.
- BEZOEK: Bezoekers mogen over het algemeen foto's maken, met een paar duidelijk aangegeven uitzonderingen.
- BEZOEK: Een bezoek aan Auschwitz-Birkenau kan traumatisch zijn. Daarom raden wij aan dat bezoekers minimaal 13 jaar oud zijn.
- BAGAGE: De maximale afmetingen van uw handbagage mogen niet groter zijn dan de volgende afmetingen: 30 x 20 x 10 cm. U kunt uw grotere bagage in de auto achterlaten.
- VERTREK: Uw exacte ophaaltijd hangt af van uw accommodatie en schema in het Auschwitz-museum. Controleer uw e-mail een dag voor de tour, aangezien uw ophaaltijd kan veranderen!
- VERTREK : Uw ophaaltijd kan worden gewijzigd en zal tussen 5 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM zijn, maar we passen het meestal aan met slechts 30 - 60 minuten (soms is een belangrijkere wijziging noodzakelijk)

- MAALTIJDEN : Lunch is niet inbegrepen. Tussen de bezoeken aan Auschwitz en Birkenau door is er geen tijd voor een gewone maaltijd, dus neem een snack mee. Een supermarkt, snackbar en restaurant zijn NIET beschikbaar op het terrein

Gabriel was a wonderful driver to Auschwitz, however the guide there was not good. She just went from a script and wouldn’t/couldn’t answer questions. I don’t think she understood English. She talked about the memorial at Berkenau after we passed it. At the end I asked why we didn’t stop to take a photo and she said that we were on the standard tour and that wasn’t included. I had looked the most inclusive tour and didn’t see anything about standard or extended tours. I was disappointed, but it wasn’t the fault of the tour company. Also, I looked for a small group tour, and the van only had eight people but we joined a group and then the group was 30 people.
Our driver Yaro was a superb driver and host. Our tour was Auschwitz and then Schindlers Museum. Very well organised with clear collection and drop off instructions. But the experience was really elevated to another level by Yaro, who sent us places of interest to see near our hotel after the Schindlers museum tour. Thanks

Very sobering experience, if you are interested in WW2 history this tour is a must. Got picked up on time, started our tour almost instantly. Got dropped off at Schindlers and picked up again to be brought to my apartment. They make the day seamless and worth it for not having to wait in line
Having booked tour with transport and entrance, and a guided tour, the bus ride took about 1 1/2 hour each way - depending on traffic. Was a good experience with the guide, who was good at telling and at a calm pace, as well as had time to answer questions.
