Centraal gelegen en omgeven door vruchtbare vlaktes, bergen, rivieren en de zee, is het gemakkelijk te begrijpen waarom Nagoya bekend staat als ‘het hart van Japan’. Deze kasteelstad trok zowel samoerai als ambachtslieden aan, en later rijke kooplieden en innovatieve leiders van de industrie. Tegenwoordig heeft Nagoya zichzelf gevestigd als het Japanse industriecentrum en is het de thuisbasis van productiegiganten als Toyota, Brother, Noritake, Ibanez, Buffalo en Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Deze tour neemt je mee naar verschillende historische landgoederen en privétuinen van deze industriële titanen. Bewonder de vergulde kunstwerken en gouden schermen in het Honmaru-paleis en drink thee terwijl je uitkijkt op een tuin die is ontworpen voor een daimyo terwijl je wordt geleid door een ervaren, Engelssprekende gids door Nagoya tijdens deze dagtour.

De tour begint om 09:00 uur met een bijeenkomst op Nagoya Station. Gasten moeten in het station wachten, voor de ZILVEREN klokkentoren tegenover de uitgangspoorten van de Shinkansen. Je gids zal je daar begroeten. Je gids zal je een korte geschiedenis van de stad geven en het decor bepalen terwijl we vertrekken vanaf het station van Nagoya richting het kasteel van Nagoya via de toeristenbus van de stad.
We zullen het kasteelterrein van Nagoya en de buitenkant van de donjon van het kasteel bezichtigen voordat we het Honmaru-paleis binnengaan.
We stoppen voor een snelle lunch en vrije tijd om souvenirs te kopen in Kinsachi Yokocho. Vraag gerust uw gids om aanbevelingen of laat uw neus voorop lopen!
Na de lunch gaan we te voet naar het cultuurpad van Nagoya. Het is ongeveer 20 minuten lopen naar Kinshachi Yokocho. Zodra we bij het Cultuurpad aankomen, leidt je gids je door verschillende historische villa's en tuinen die ooit eigendom waren van enkele van de rijkste families van Nagoya.
We vertrekken opnieuw te voet naar onze eindbestemming, Tokugawa Garden. De wandeling van het Cultuurpad naar de Tokugawa-tuin duurt ongeveer 20 minuten. Bij aankomst kunt u genieten van een welverdiende rust terwijl we genieten van Sencha-thee en traditionele Japanse zoetigheden in een historisch theehuis. Na een drankje heeft u de gelegenheid om een ontspannende wandeling door de tuin te maken. Rond 16:25 gaan we terug naar het station van Nagoya via de toeristenbus van Nagoya. Gasten die de tour in Sakae willen beëindigen, kunnen dit doen.

I truly made wonderful memories in Nagoya. With the beautiful weather and two lovely guides, it felt as if I were walking through scene after scene of a Japanese movie. As we walked from Nagoya Castle to various historic sites, the explanations were clear, engaging, and easy to follow. I’m not very confident in English, but the guides kindly adjusted their explanations to my level, which made everything easy to understand and really stay in my mind. If I visit Nagoya again, I would definitely love to ask for the same guides once more. I am deeply grateful, and I highly, highly recommend this tour.
