“FURUSATO Cycling” is een nieuw tourproject ontworpen om je de “ECHTE HAGI” volledig te laten ervaren. Geniet van een begeleide fietstocht door prachtige landschappen, voel de lokale levensstijl en bezoek bijzondere plekken die normaal gesproken niet open zijn voor bezoekers. Onze eerste tour richt zich op Japanse sake. Volg het brouwproces van lokaal gemaakte Hagi sake, inclusief bezoeken aan de rijstvelden, waterbrongebieden, een lokale sakebrouwerij en een rijstpolijstfaciliteit. ・Parcourslengte : ongeveer 11 km ・Tourduur : 3 uur en 30 minuten ・Fietsmerk : Giant ・Voorzien van een achterspatbord, etui en drankhouder Toegang tot de tourlocatie De tour begint ongeveer 30 minuten met de auto vanaf het centrum van Hagi. Als u van plan bent om zonder huurauto te komen, laat het ons dan weten bij het boeken. Wij helpen u graag verder. Na de tour kunnen gasten een lokale sakebrouwerij bezoeken en genieten van sakeproeverij als ze geïnteresseerd zijn.

We zullen uitleg geven over sake-rijst met behulp van flip-overs terwijl we kijken naar de rijstvelden waar sake-rijst wordt verbouwd vanaf een kleine heuvel. De inhoud die de intellectuele nieuwsgierigheid van sake-liefhebbers prikkelt, zal je liefde voor sake vergroten.
【Sake rijstpolijstfabriek】 Het proces "polijsten" wordt uitgevoerd voordat de daadwerkelijk geoogste sake-rijst naar de sake-brouwerij wordt getransporteerd. De smaak van sake zal anders zijn met slechts één poetsbeurt. In deze fabriek, terwijl we de machine zien die sake-rijst "polijst", zullen we de smaak van sake benaderen die verandert met polijsten.
Unrinji is algemeen bekend als "Kattentempel" en staat vol met kattengerelateerde beeldjes. Mis niet de houtsnijwerkkat gemaakt met een kettingzaag. Zelfs als je niet van katten houdt, ben je zeker nieuwsgierig!

【Yachiyo Sake-brouwerij】 Een sakebrouwerij waar vrouwelijke bossen een actieve rol spelen. Een nieuw Yachiyo-merk nastreven en tegelijkertijd de ouderwetse productiemethode waarderen. Er wordt gezegd dat het het hart van de sake-brouwerijen is, en afhankelijk van de brouwerij kun je gemakkelijk de "Muro" zien, het "bereide water" proeven dat voor het brouwen wordt gebruikt en de droesemproeverij van sake bereiden. Na de rondleiding heb je ook een proeverij en word je zowel fysiek als mentaal ondergedompeld in sake.

0 did not go because it was too far from the town and would cost too much to get there by Taxi so we forfeited the registration fee.

The guided bicycle tour with Akiyama-San “aki” was awesome!! Aki is very knowledgeable in how sake is made and history of the cat temple and is fluent in Japanese and English. The countryside of Hagi is beautiful and there were hardly any cars which made this tour very relaxing as i didn’t have to keep checking if cars were coming behind me. The cat , unrinji temple is unique and the wooden cat figures were carved by a chain saw. Temple is dedicated to cats and if you go on this tour you will find out why. The tour started and ended at the yachiyo shuzo brewery and the head sake master gave me a tour of her brewery and explained the involved process of the production of sake and what makes good tasting sake. Sampling was given at end of the tour; I’m not a sake drinker but this sake tasted so good that I bought several bottles to take home as gifts but I may end up keeping them all!! You will not be disappointed in this tour.
Aki-san from furusato cycling was a fantastic, knowledgeable and fun guide. He was able to adjust the tour to my personal interests and preferences which made it a very valuable experience. The tour was well paced with lots of points of interest, and I was given a very good bike made it easy and fun to ride. I was able to engage directly with Hagi locals involved in the Sake brewing and ask questions directly, and get an understanding of how the local community is an important part of Sake. I am glad I decided to do the tour and it became one of the high points of my trip to Japan. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in where Sake comes from.
