Great visit to Varanasi in the company of Rakesh, who was able to perfectly answer all questions and explain the city's history in detail. The itinerary allows for seeing great points of interest in Varanasi, making it a very comprehensive visit. A must-do!
Professional, dedicated, organized, funny, and friendly! Rakesh provided plenty of juicy details about the history of Banaras, allowing for a very informative approach to Hinduism while wisely choosing each location that refers to it. He adopts a visitor-focused approach, offering a tailored experience and is not hesitant to modify his itinerary, even at the very last moment.
We had an absolutely magical immersion day in Varanasi thanks to our exceptional guide RAKESH, whom we recommend wholeheartedly. The best experience I had on a guided tour in India (fun and safe). It was really the highlight of my stay in Varanasi. I had a great time with Rakesh, I learned so much about the city and also about Hinduism and Indian culture in general. It was just exciting. I recommend 1000%. If you pass through Vanarasi, I can only strongly suggest that you reserve your first day with Rakesh to make you discover and better understand this city Disconcerting. We started our day at about 6 a.m. on a large boat on the waters of the sacred river watching the faithful do their ablutions, live the sun rising over the city Holy and feel the gentle wind on our skin. We will then discover the alleys of the city, the most beautiful view of the city of the terrace of a mosque, drink Chai Masala with the inhabitants of Varasani, say hello to a Sacred cow leaving a house and we are taken to a secret underground temple. Throughout our walk, Rakesh’s explanations and stories, in a French impeccable, bring to life what we visit Rakesh seems to know everyone. The stop at the cremation site on the banks of the Ganges (highlight of the day) deserves the visit. The explanations filled with respect and kindness make this moment unforgettable. Finally, the great places that Rakesh found us for Ganga Aarti that night were the icing on the cake! After a very warm welcome, Rakesh takes us to the docks of the goddess Ganges, where he explains Hindu rituals. After going by boat on the river, he will explain the Hindu religion and tell us about the ritual of cremation that we will see in the evening.
