Het grootste deel van uw reis brengt u door langs deze spectaculaire kustroute, met prachtige panorama's en een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan. We bereiken de 12 Apostelen op tijd om te genieten van de zonsondergang boven de oceaan!
Bij het bereiken van de kust, neem een snelle pauze in de idyllische badplaats Anglesea. Strek uw benen langs de pittoreske Angelsea River voordat u uw reis voortzet langs de Great Ocean Road.
Stop voor een kans om een happy snap te maken en misschien een snel bezoek aan het strand te brengen bij de historische Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch.
Tijdens de zomermaanden is onze lunchstop (op eigen kosten) in de stad Lorne, een van de belangrijkste badplaatsen van de Great Ocean Road.
Het eucalyptusbos rondom Kennett River ligt naast het Great Otway National Park en is de thuisbasis van een kolonie inheemse koala's. Onze Gids zal u helpen bij het spotten van koala's. Houd er rekening mee dat het wilde dieren zijn en op geen enkele manier gestoord mogen worden. Tijdens de wintermaanden stoppen we hier voor onze lunchpauze (eigen kosten).
Verken tal van spectaculaire uitkijkposten aan de kust en kom alles te weten over de geschiedenis van het Loch Ard, dat hier in 1878 werd verwoest met het verlies van 52 levens. Bekijk rotsformaties waaronder de Razorback, de onlangs ingestorte Island Archway, de Dumpling Pots en Muttonbird Island.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophalen is alleen mogelijk via de lijst met hotels die bij het afrekenen wordt verstrekt. Je wordt opgehaald tussen 09.00 en 10.00 uur (niet-zomertijd, AEST) en 10.00-11.00 uur (zomertijd, AEDT), afhankelijk van welk hotel je hebt geselecteerd. Uw exacte vergadertijd wordt verstrekt nadat een boeking is geplaatst. Deze tour keert terug naar Melbourne tussen ongeveer 21.00 en 12.00 uur, afhankelijk van het seizoen.

Pretty much a horrible experience. The tour operator had signs all over the bus to contact him with any comments or issues and he would respond. I wrote him a detailed complaint and never heard from him. The driver was a maniac. The bus was very uncomfortable and the way he drove made multiple people physically sick. He was more interested in just checking off that he got us to all the stops on the itinerary. For example one of the stops for lunch was lovely and would have been nice to tour around, but we were rushed back to get onto the bus. We made another stop for dinner but the town was a virtual ghost town and we spent over an hour there with nothing to do. We were supposed to see all sorts of wildlife and koalas. We saw one koala in a tree. The driver played some kind of awful rap music that gave me a headache. When I asked him to change the channel to something a little more relevant to the ages of the group, he bit my head off and lectured me about the driver’s prerogative for the music. But my main complaint was the bus. It would have been appropriate transportation for a group of 10 year olds but the seats were very close together and even at my modest height my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me. My 6’ husband was very uncomfortable.

Had the best experience and Jools was really fun and engaging and put in great effort and felt comfortable the whole time. Jools was super funny and also a great driver and insightful with information! We both cannot wait to do another tour again perhaps the puffing train next.

Was a very scenic tour. Me tour guide Rhys was funny and made sure I had a good day. The sunset at the loch arc gorge was very beautiful and many pictures were taken. The lunch and dinner were ok.
This was a very exciting experience and we got to see a lot of new things and really pretty scenery. There were also a lot of pit stops in between for bathrooms and snacks, which was convenient; the guide, Michael, is also really enthusiastic and passionate about this tour. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.
First time visiting great ocean road.
MICHAEL was an excellent guide. He helped get us to the right spot at the right time. He was very knowledgeable and animated. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was quite a windy road to get there, however, MICHAEL managed to make sure that we were ok. He went out of his way to help us find some koalas in the wilderness. You can’t go wrong with this tour. It was very worthwhile.
