We zullen via deze lokale ervaring iets van de Hongaarse eettraditie leren kennen en vooral PROEVEN, en ik zal ook de geschiedenis van het gebouw uitleggen. Ik ga je de Hongaarse nationale eet- en drinkartikelen laten zien en leren terwijl ik door een van de hotspots in Town-de Grote Markthal slenter. Ik ga je kennis laten maken met de geheimen van enkele van onze nationale drankjes en je de unieke eetkraampjes laten zien waar ik uitleg geef over de Hongaarse paprikacultuur en je een SALAMI-dienblad bezorgt met verrassende ingrediënten in sommige. We bezoeken de paddenstoelen-/kruiden-/honingkraam en natuurlijk kun je ook niet weggaan zonder de beroemde LANGOS te proeven, wat DE echt Hongaarse ervaring is, een gefrituurd cirkelvormig deeg met zure room en/of kaastopping. Natuurlijk Je moet deze culinaire reis afsluiten met een zoete traktatie, een handgemaakte traditionele Hongaarse STRUDEL. Lángos en speciaal Hongaars shot en Hongaarse salami-sampling en dessert zijn inbegrepen. Ideaal voor groeps- en teambuilding.

We zullen de Grote Markthal verkennen en tijdens onze wandeling proeft u veel typisch Hongaarse etenswaren, waaronder "Lángos", "Hongaarse salamiselectie", "Handgemaakte Hongaarse Strudel" plus een verrassingsdrankje.
Op weg naar de Grote Markthal zal ik u een aantal interessante historische informatie uitleggen over de “Kleine Ringweg” zoals wij die noemen, u begeleiden naar een overblijfsel van de oude middeleeuwse stadsmuur en een “buiten de gebaande paden” kleine ECO park.
We lopen naar de Vrijheidsbrug waar ik je uitleg zal geven over de twee kanten van de stad, enkele fascinerende details over de bruggen in het centrum van Boedapest, enkele van de wereldberoemde thermale baden zal aanwijzen en ook een beetje zal praten over de weinige details die zich op de brug verbergen en verband houden met de Hongaarse mythologie. We krijgen ook de kans om prachtige foto's te maken vanaf dit uitkijkpunt en ik ben blij om je persoonlijke "paparazzo" te zijn.

Beautiful architecture, market with a great variety of paprika, crafts and local beverages, several restaurants with varied dishes. Like any market, it is worth looking for the best prices, which vary from tent to tent. But super worth the visit
A large Covered Market, in the city center, full of perfumes, souvenirs, and places where you can eat. It is spread over two levels, and is definitely worth the visit. On the sides you buy at a more competitive price. Beware of pickpockets, even if much less present than any of our cities...
With less than 24 hours notice, the tour was cancelled due to "weather." However, the weather was beautiful - sunny, 32•C, with a gentle breeze. I went to the Central Market myself. No problems there; merchants were open.

Ester Jeanette is a terrific tour guide with a deep understanding of Budapest food culture. She knows the best stops for tasting langos, salami, and strudel and along the way provides fun and interesting history and facts. The visit to the Great Market Hall was made much richer by doing this tour rather than on our own. Highly recommend!
It is the largest in Budapest. You can buy both raw and cooked food. The ground floor is developed as a real market where you can buy local products, the first floor is full of street food so ready to taste but at fairly high prices. I actually expected more.

Beautiful market hall with 3 floors. You can buy everything there as you are used to at a market. (also wild) But at Christmas it is of course also a Christmas market. You can also eat and drink anything. Definitely worth it!
Esther was great. She showed us around the market and provided excellent tastings of local foods like langos, salami, strudel, liquor and others. We had enough food to equate to a full meal. It was a little expensive for what you get, but on the whole a very good experience that I would recommend to other visitors interested in trying local foods.
This food tour was excellent, Eszther’s knowledge of the food and history was great and she presented it with enthusiasm and was very friendly and personable. I would definitely recommend this tour.
We enjoyed the tour with Eszter. We especially loved the langos that we tried! We also enjoyed the special treats and the commentary from Eszter. Unfortunately some stores in the Central Market had closed because we went late in the afternoon.
The architecture of this market Hal is worth the trip. Lots of fresh meats, fruits and veggies. Plus best place to get your paprika and a tote. Worth the stop.
