Wij stellen u onze groene fietsen ter beschikking, of indien nodig e-bikes. We hebben onze gidsen geselecteerd op basis van hun kennis en passie. Je fietst van camping naar camping, dicht bij de zee. We hebben de route bepaald om het verkeer zoveel mogelijk te vermijden. In 3 uur leer je veel over de punische cultuur en de romeinse geschiedenis van Carthago. U zult ook genieten van de schoonheid van Carthago, tussen erfgoed, zon en zee. Er zijn geen grote moeilijkheden, maar je kunt ook zonder moeite een e-bike boeken om te bezoeken.

De site van de oude Romeinse baden bevat veel ruïnes, waaronder de baden die uitkijken op de zee. Ze behoorden tot de grootste van het romeinse rijk.
Bezoek het Romeinse theater van Carthago
Als alle leden van de groep het ermee eens zijn en als de tijd en het weer het toelaten, kunt u de Byrsa-heuvel bezoeken, de punische architectuur en leren hoe de Romein de heuvel heeft bekeerd. U ziet ook de Saint Louis Cathedral, zonder binnen te komen. NB: het museum van Carthago, gelegen op de heuvel, is gesloten. Bij zeer hoge temperaturen kan deze site geannuleerd worden.

Nice, well paced itinerary with knowledgeable guide, Shiddy? Started late waiting for other travelers. The biggest negative was the guide and other travelers had an e-bike and I didn’t. The guide was frequently far ahead of me, and occasionally losing his line of site. Fortunately, one of the other travelers deliberately took a slower pace and preserving the line of site of the group.
Gigi is very knowledgeable and warm hearted, in addition he is a language genius (we are 6 people group with 3 native languages and he could just communicate with us respectively in our own language!!!). The tour last 4 hours therefore we were a bit tired in the end, maybe 1) arrange a short break with tea/coffee in the middle; 2) find a place for us to be seated when listening to Gigi’s briefing at the beginning of each stop would be great.
Excellent private tour with Jiji, a passionate guide of history and his country. Classic cycling is quite feasible for people who even do just a little bit of sports. The various sites visited are magnificent. It is above all a historical and cultural tour of ancient Carthage.
Without a doubt, this is the best way to get to know the archaeological sites of Carthage. The walk is amazing. The company is super organized and attentive to every detail. The best is the company of the guide. Gigi was our guide and he made all the difference. With his knowledge and his explanation led us to the past. He is a wonderful person and professional!!! I would have passed this 10 times. É, simplesmente, maravilhoso.
For sure, it was the best way to tour i have ever chosen. Gigi (our guide) knew EVERYTHING about sites! And more: smiles, quotes, connections to other place's history, politics etc. I did not mind was under the sun, on summer, at 10am! If you like history, must do it!!!

This ended up being a private tour (I paid more) because there were not enough others signed up but this was communicated to me well in advance. Guide was great and bike has got to be the best way to see Carthage! There is a bigish hill at the end so I’d recommend the e-bike if you are not a regular biker.
