Wij nodigen u graag uit voor de unieke Griekse olijvenproeverij in de traditionele delicatessenwinkel 'Diiris', in het historische centrum van Athene, Griekenland. Al onze producten zijn onze Griekse familieproductie. We selecteren de beste olijven uit onze olijfvelden in de buurt van Sparta om Extra vergine olijfolie en fijne Griekse olijven te maken voor onze gasten en onze familie. Ook wordt rauwe honing gewonnen uit de bijenkorven van Sparta bergen en de kust. U bent van harte welkom om traditionele Griekse olijven snacks en rauwe honing te proeven, met een Mastic shot en te verkennen over Griekse olijven van de heer Georgios, een hoofd van de familie. While trying lovely olives we got the incredible stories behind the olives. Not only did we get to try olives he provided us with his own local honey; three very different honey's. Uzu was provided to cleanse the mouth and we could have had more if we had asked. Water was also provided. Overall great experience, will be one to remember.

Georgia’s and his wife were very welcoming and sweet. Finding their shop is easy, on Apple Maps they are under shop Dieres tucked away into a charming corner for those who need help locating the store. It’s a very low cost and you get a lot out of it. I was able to hear about Georgios family background and about their olive production from Sparta region that they have worked on for decades. Along with a delicious variety of olives, I was also able to taste ouzo, a tapenade spread and a trio of honey, finishing with a shot of mastiha. I highly recommend stopping by their shop, they have a variety of items to purchase. I took home two of the mastiha and a travel-friendly olive oil. Thank you for helping me spend my last day in Athens Georgios!

Excellent experience, I highly recommend it! Welcomed by the owner of the shop and his wife, we got a beautiful tasting of various olives, olive oils and more , it was delicious and very well described by the owner, sharing the story of the family production in Sparta. The shop is located in central Athens in a busy small street with many locals coming to buy from the shop while we were tasting.

The experience took place at a very nice olive store near the market area in the center. We got to sample 2 olive oils and many types of delicious olives. The store is operated by a very sweet couple who are very knowledgeable about olives and oil. Their product are sourced from family orchards and direct from other growers, not from olive wholesalers. The results are olives of exceptional quality, During the tasting we were offered extras of our favorites. Afterwards we tried the smoothest and best Ouzo and Ouzo/Mastic blend. At the end we were given a bag of our favorite olives and we were able to purchase vacuum sealed bags to bring home. This experience was one of the highlights of our trip and I recommend it to all olive lovers.

The manager explained everything to us. He was very nice There were some olives, olive oil and honey to try. But we found it too expensive for what we were offered.
The owner was a very friendly man and we tasted a range of olives, sunflower oil and greek traditional liquer outside his store. We were told about the making of all these products in a lot of detail. Would 10/10 recommend. (Bring a bottle of water as youre eating a LOT of olives)
