Begin je dag met een snelle 45 minuten durende catamaranreis naar het adembenemende Green Island, waar je 2 uur hebt om het levendige koraalrif en weelderige regenwoud te ontdekken. Vervolg het avontuur vervolgens met 3 uur op het ruime activiteiten platform van Great Adventures, afgemeerd aan het spectaculaire Outer Great Barrier Reef. Met een breed scala aan activiteiten voor alle leeftijden – of je nu zwemt of liever droog blijft – kun je snorkelen, duiken of het rif verkennen vanuit het onderwaterobservatorium of semi-onderzeeër met airconditioning. Great Adventures neemt je mee naar een exclusief en ruim activiteitenplatform op het majestueuze Outer Barrier Reef. Snorkel, duik, bekijk het rif vanaf het onderwaterobservatorium en de semi-duikboottour.
Ervaar de adembenemende schoonheid van het Werelderfgoed Great Barrier Reef. Vanaf het ruime rifactiviteitenplatform van Great Adventures, afgemeerd aan het majestueuze Outer Reef, is de koraal- en mariene biodiversiteit het meest extreem. Er is een overvloed aan activiteiten voor alle leeftijden, zwemmers en niet-zwemmers om van te genieten. Snorkel en duik of blijf droog en ontdek het rif in het onderwaterobservatorium of vanuit de semi-submersible met airconditioning. Er is ook een groot aantal spannende optionele activiteiten, waaronder duiken, schilderachtige helikoptervluchten en de exclusieve Scuba-Doo onderwaterscooter - deze worden op de dag zelf betaald.

- Na een enkele duik wordt een wachttijd van 12 uur aanbevolen voordat u opklimt naar een hoogte van 300 meter of meer. Als u meerdere duiken doet, wordt een interval van 24 uur voorgesteld.
- De minimumleeftijd om te duiken is 12 jaar. Bepaalde medische aandoeningen en medicijnen kunnen sommige mensen uitsluiten van deelname.
- Snorkelen kan een inspannende activiteit zijn. We adviseren de bemanning te informeren over eventuele medische aandoeningen.

My husband and 5-yr old took this tour and it was absolutely amazing. Easy to find check in and where we needed to be at the main Reef Fleet Terminal. Travel out to Green Island for a few hours. Then travel out to the pontoon/platform. We snorkeled at the platform - they have a buoyed area and lifeguards present. Lifevests, snorkel gear, flippers, and snorkel suits all provided. We were not there during jelly season, but still wore the suits for protection from the sun and it was a bit chilly. Seeing all the fish and even sea turtles was absolutely wild!! Lunch provided which was surprisingly yummy! Below deck viewing area and semi-submersible were all included. You are on a large boat with a good amount of people, but it never felt crowded. Could have done the exact same tour the next day all over again and thoroughly enjoyed it all over again.

Great Barrier Reef was great, but the morning was a waste with a stop at Green Island where there is not enough time for those continuing onward to do much of anything. The meeting place is easy, steps away from the Hilton. The Great Barrier Reef gives you a good amount of time for some amazing snorkeling. The reef is the star. You can do better snorkeling in Riatea or Moorea. The lunch served on the pontoon is excellent and so are snacks. Warning. Bring your Sea Bands and prepare to see many vomiting on the ride out to the reef.

We’d like to clarify that the 2-hour stopover on Green Island is designed to give guests a taste of the island experience before continuing to the Reef. During this time, guests can enjoy a quick snorkel, take a walk around the island and through the rainforest, relax with a coffee near the swimming pool, or visit Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Park. While it may not allow time to experience every activity in depth, it provides a great opportunity to explore some of what Green Island has to offer. Conditions can vary, and we always recommend guests who are prone to motion sickness come prepared so they can enjoy their day as comfortably as possible. If I could give it 500 stars, I would. The company is very responsible, meticulous, and its staff is top-notch. Everything that was stated in the brochure was done to the letter. Abundant lunch, delicious snacks. Not to mention the experience itself regarding the Great Barrier. Every dollar we paid was worth it. Highly recommended 👌

This was a very well organised day trip from Cairns. It is a very professionally organised tour, with safety of the participants a priority We had time on Green Island to walk around the edge, snorkeling twice off the beach and saw lots of fish then a coffee before reboarding for our trip out to the reef. While waiting for the boat we saw 2 turtles and got some great pics The reef pontoon was so great. Easy access to the water to snorkel, under water viewing and an underwater submarine type boat that had incredible views. Lunch was nice and small snacks are also given. My husband and I were really impressed with the whole day

Mixed feelings about this trip. Green Island is a total waste of time. Went snorkelling and lucky if I saw 4 fish. Also eaten alive by mozies and bugs. The outer Barrier Reef on the other hand was fantastic. Exactly what I expected and why I went. So if booking a trip just do the second part (the outer reef) and forget Green Island. In Sydney now and still nursing my bites.
