Snorkelen bij de Blue Hole geeft je een eerste rij zitplaats aan zijn massieve ronde vorm, met pure kalkstenen muren die vallen in diep saffierblauw water. Vanaf het oppervlak kunnen snorkelaars het ondiepe rifgebied verkennen, dat leeft met kleurrijke koralen, sponzen en tropische rifvissen. Je ziet vaak scholen engelvissen, vlindervissen, papegaaivissen en soms zelfs rifhaaien over de rand varen. Terwijl duikers diep naar binnen gaan, genieten snorkelaars van het unieke uitzicht op de dramatische omtrek van de Blue Hole en het levendige onderwaterleven dat rond zijn omtrek gedijt.
Half Moon Caye is een waar juweeltje van het Lighthouse Reef Atoll, zowel boven als onder water. Snorkelaars drijven over levendige koraaltuinen gevuld met harde en zachte koralen, zeewaaiers en sponzen, terwijl ze scholen engelvissen, tandbaarzen en snappers door het rif spotten. Het is ook een van de beste plekken om adelaarsroggen sierlijk te zien zweven en af en toe een zeeschildpad voorbij te zien komen. Op het land is het eiland een beschermd heiligdom, de thuisbasis van een grote kolonie roodvoettieten en prachtige fregatvogels. Tussen het rif en het vogelreservaat van het eiland, Half Moon Caye biedt een mix van een prachtig onderwaterleven en een kans om te stappen op een ongerept Caribisch eiland met rijke natuurlijke schoonheid.

The ride out and back are a little long, but the iver experience makes thay irrelevant. The crew and Amigo Del Mar do amd excellent job on all aspects from their continental breakfast to lunch and a easy ride back.

Amazing tour, 100% would recommend. The Amigos Del Mar tour guides were SO nice. The tour was amazing, we went snorkelling by the great blue hole, explored Half Moon Caye, enjoyed a delicious lunch & dessert. Then finished up with more snorkelling. I felt sick and threw up from the waves and they made sure to take great care of me. Very friendly, easy to communicate with via WhatsApp to plan pickup points from our hotel dock. I would really recommend!

It's a good 2 hour ride out, but we'll worth it! Amazing snorkeling, saw nurse sharks, turtles, sting rays and tons of fishes! The crew was top notch, couldn't have asked for better.
