De Grand Tour Discover South is de enige tour die 3 bestemmingen combineert, die je op één dag kunt bezoeken of op de dagen die jou het beste uitkomen, afhankelijk van je beschikbare tijd! Eerste stop: Herculaneum, gemakkelijk te bereiken met de trein vanuit Napels of met de auto. We wachten u op bij ons informatiepunt om u te helpen, u toegangskaarten voor Herculaneum en Pompeii te verstrekken en een reservering voor uw reis naar de Vesuvius te geven. Neem na uw boeking contact met ons op om uw gewenste tijdslot te kiezen en de drie bestemmingen met ons te regelen! We raden aan om eerst de Vesuvius te bezoeken (het toegangskaartje kost 11,68 euro) en daarna het archeologische park van Herculaneum. Als je nog energie over hebt, kun je Pompeii 's middags of de volgende dag verkennen door de trein te nemen die de twee steden met elkaar verbindt. De Grand Tour omvat 3 toegangskaarten, 2 audiogidsen en een retourtje met de bus vanaf de Vesuvius! Beklim de Vesuvius vanuit Herculaneum met onze bus: de entreeprijs is inbegrepen! Na 30 minuten bereik je het voorplein van het ticketkantoor, vanwaar je nog eens 30 minuten te voet verder gaat naar de top. Ontspan en geniet van het uitzicht op de krater en het immense panorama van de Baai van Napels.
Ontdek het Archeologisch Park van Herculaneum: met onze kaart kun je de site betreden en ervan genieten dankzij een digitale audiogids die je downloadt op je smartphone in ons kantoor in I Point Herculaneum. Een perfect bezoek aan de site die werd verwoest door de uitbarsting van 79 na Christus.C. en die ooit over de zee uitkeken. Hier in de straten van de oude stad kun je nog steeds de sfeer en het leven van die tijd opsnuiven.

We left by bus from Herculaneum where at InfoPoin we met Luca, who gave us many directions to see other things about this magnificent land, besides Vesuvius and the excavations of Herculaneum. By bus we reached the starting point for the walk on Mount Vesuvius, accompanied by Umberto, a prepared and passionate guide who guided us along the route until we reached the top of the crater, where we took spectacular photos all along the way! Duration 2 hours... return to the base, a Neapolitan sandwich and then away, to the meeting with Gennaro who accompanied you to discover the excavations of Herculaneum, which involved you and intrigued you to discover this world, which has been brought to light and partly still submerged. Thank you for this great experience

I booked this tour with the expectation that it would include a bus transfer to Mount Vesuvius as well as tickets to Herculaneum. From all of the description It appeared that this was as a group tour for the day. This is not what was provided. Upon entering the ipoint, the staff were lovely and very helpful. They were extremely accommodating and would have been the best part of the trip. We were given our discover south ticket and were directed towards a 10 am bus. However, this bus was full and we were told that we would be put on the next bus. This bus was not a discover south tour. It was just a bus for Vesuvio express which had I have known I would have just booked this independently as it would’ve been much cheaper. The second bus we were directed to was also full so we were given a taxi transfer to the top of Mount Vesuvius. Our ‘tour’ started 30 minutes late so we did not have much time at the mountain. Our driver was lovely although drove erratically in true European style, and the staff were very accommodating. This appeared to be the end of our tour. There was no whole day tour as described and on return to Ercolano at ipoint unfortunately they were unable to get us tickets for Herculaneum. We were offered the equivalent in euros to go down and purchase them ourselves. Again, this is something I could have done independently and I had chosen a tour to have a full day experience. All staff involved were very lovely and did a great job, however this ‘ tour’ was just over inflated prices for tickets for Mount Vesuvius express and general entry tickets to Herculaneum. I would recommend avoiding this tour and just book yourself when you get there. Very disappointed and feel ripped off.
