Onze Grand Port Arthur Tour is geschikt voor het hele gezin, met voldoende tijd om in je eigen tempo te verkennen. Inclusief een ontspannen, schilderachtige cruise op Carnarvon Bay, waar u wordt vermaakt en geïnformeerd met de 1 uur durende begeleide wandeltocht op het Isle of the Dead. Vroeger was het een veroordeelde site, maar nu staat het op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO en barst het van de geschiedenis. Tegenwoordig heeft het een landschap van natuurlijke schoonheid, schilderachtige ruïnes en gerestaureerde gebouwen. Onze chauffeur/gids staat de hele dag voor u klaar om aanvullende informatie te geven over deze fascinerende site en om ervoor te zorgen dat uw tijd goed wordt besteed. Lunch en versnaperingen kunnen ter plaatse worden gekocht of u bent van harte welkom om uw eigen mee te nemen. Reis over de Tasman Bridge naar de Coal River Valley en vervolgens naar de historische stad Richmond. Geniet van een korte fotostop bij de beroemde door veroordeelden gebouwde Richmond Bridge.
We gaan verder naar het adembenemende Tasman schiereiland. Sta versteld van het prachtige uitzicht vanaf de Pirates Bay Lookout.
De Port Arthur Historic Site is rijk aan visuele geschiedenis en roept een krachtig gevoel op van een vervlogen tijdperk van veroordeelden en van het erfgoed van vroege Australische nederzettingen. Verken in je eigen tempo en geniet de hele dag van gratis lezingen op belangrijke locaties, toegang tot de Port Arthur Gallery met interactieve displays, een cruise op Carnarvon Bay en een begeleide wandeling van een uur op het Isle of the Dead. Een ervaring die u niet mag missen! Dit is de perfecte stop bij onze terugkeer naar Hobart. Verwen de zintuigen en blader door het enorme assortiment handgesmede chocolade. Door gebruik te maken van de beste Belgische Coverture-chocolade is er zeker iets dat de smaakpapillen prikkelt. Vanuit de cadeauwinkel kun je zien hoe deze prachtige producten met de hand worden gemaakt.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Het ophalen van het hotel begint ongeveer 40 minuten vóór de vermelde starttijd/vertrektijd van de tour. Als u een ophaalservice bij uw hotel heeft geselecteerd, ontvangt u een aparte e-mail van de touroperator. Controleer uw e-mails voor de bevestigde ophaaltijd van het hotel. U ontvangt de e-mail binnen 24 uur na boeking. Voor boekingen die na sluitingstijd voor de volgende dag zijn gemaakt, ontvangt u de volgende ochtend, minimaal 2 uur voor vertrek, een e-mail met de ophaalgegevens. Wacht 5 minuten vóór uw bevestigde ophaaltijd op de ophaallocatie van uw hotel. Niet alle ophaallocaties bevinden zich direct bij het hotel. De exacte ophaallocatie wordt vermeld in de e-mail die door de touroperator wordt verzonden. Als er geen hotel is geselecteerd, wordt uw ophaalservice om 8.30 uur bevestigd op Brooke St Pier, 12 Franklin Wharf, Hobart (centraal vertrekpunt).

An absolutely wonderful day. Very well organised. Barry our coach driver kept us entertained and was so knowledgeable. Port Arthur itself is haunting and beautiful. The Isle of the Dead tour was definately a highlight not to be missed. Our guide was a true wealth of knowledge and a wonderful narrator of the history of the site and it's characters. So glad we did this. The chocolate factory stop on the way home was great.

This tour was perfect for our short stay in Hobart as it covered a few different stops as well as a good amount of time to explore Port Arthur. The bus arrived on time to pick us up and from the start we knew it would be a good day as Colin, our driver and guide was so welcoming! His knowledge was amazing and we learn quite a bit that we weren't aware of. I thought the day was good value and the process for admittance at Port Arthur was quick and easy. We had a great day and really appreciated that everything was so well organised, there was no stress and we could sit back and relax.

The very nice views, the very interesting place, we were 10 mins in Richmond, I would have liked to be longer, the whole tour was in English I had hired him because I thought there was going to be some audio in Spanish or something written as it said in the tour announcement but it wasn't.
