Vancouver wordt gewoonlijk de parel aan de kust genoemd met de juiste mix van culturen, moderne stadsplanning en een overvloed aan natuurlijke kenmerken en gezonde recreatie. Tijdens deze 5-uurs Grand City Tour zal uw gids de geschiedenis en het unieke karakter van Vancouver bespreken. Bezoek downtown Vancouver, waaronder Stanley Park, Gastown, Yaletown, Chinatown en de openbare markt van Granville Island. Ervaar die speciale sfeer die deze stad tot een van de meest kosmopolitische plekken ter wereld maakt.

Nadat je om 10.00 uur bent opgehaald bij je hotel in het centrum, rijd je door Vancouver en westwaarts richting Stanley Park, het grootste stadspark in Noord-Amerika. Bezoek het totempark waar je gids de gravures en culturele aantekeningen in het park zal uitleggen. Er zijn natuurlijke wonderen, van 1000 jaar oude bomen tot de grote geschiedenis van het gebied. We gaan via het westelijke uiteinde naar Shaughnessy voor het bezichtigen van het grote huis en komen aan op de openbare markt van Granville Island voor de lunch. Na onze tour op het eiland gaan we naar The Olympic Village en Yaletown voor een mix van modern en oud voordat je naar het fantastische Chinatown gaat. Ga vervolgens naar Gastown, waar je gids het verhaal van Gassy Jack zal uitleggen en hoe Vancouver de belangrijkste handelshaven werd die het nu is. Als de tijd het toelaat, hebben we ook een optie om het ijspaleis Le Casa met 238 smaken te bezoeken, dan terug naar je hotel en onderweg zal je gids een paar goede restaurants en andere activiteiten noemen om je dag compleet te maken.

Ik haal niet op in Richmond of rijd naar Richmond na de tour, dat maakt geen deel uit van het pakket, ik haal op bij elk hotel in het centrum van Vancouver, of Burnaby en zal na de tour in hetzelfde hotel afzetten. residentiële pick-up is beschikbaar, bel het tourbedrijf om de ophaaltijden af te stemmen. Fantastic experience to see Vancouver. Lawrence Tours did a fabulous job of telling us about the history and ecological part of Vancouver.
Our knowledgeable guide, Michael, took us on a comprehensive tour of the city and good info about history, architecture, local life. We were given the choice of several different restaurants for lunch (at our own expense, of course )and chose the Banana Leaf, a Malaysian restaurant which we all enjoyed. Stop for ice cream later and enjoy a stroll through Granville market. Michael also highlighted the many ways in which Vancouver has worked to minimize impact on the environment. I highly recommend!
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. Toured all different parts of the city. Great stopping point for photos. He was fun to be around. Loved the many stories and jokes! We recommend Michael to all who come to Vancouver.

Probably the single best tour experience we’ve ever experienced ! Michael couldn’t have been more accommodating! Due to a missed flight (Air Canada mess up) we didn’t arrive in Vancouver till midnight and turned lights out at 2 am the night before our scheduled 10 am tour ! We spoke directly to Michael and explained the situation ! He arranged to pick us up at 11 am despite having another couple on the tour! So - it all worked out and it was a fantastic day ! Didn’t get back to our hotel till five pm - totally worn out but very happy. This tour was better than our entire cruise to Alaska ! A must do experience ! I told Michael that I’d like to publish his life story ! Everyone should do this tour ! You’ll never forget it or get a better introduction to a new city !
Michael was very knowledgeable about the history of Vancouver. If you only have a few hours to tour the city this is the tour for you. Michael was both cordial and professional. We rode in a very comfortable van and stopped at several important points. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel on time. Very convenient.

It was a very good tour and our driver/guide, Michael, was excellent. Our group was very small with four and it was so comfortable in the van sharing our experience. We had a great lunch at a Sandbar restaurant. We were fortunate that it was a sunny day in the low 80s. A beautiful city for sure.
Michael is an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide with many good stories about Vancouver, its resources and its ecology. The van was comfortable, the number of stops just right, and we got an overall good experience of what Vancouver has to offer.
