Deze Grand Golden Circle-tour brengt u naar de populairste bezienswaardigheden waar u kunt genieten van de drie hoogtepunten van het zuidwesten van IJsland: Geysir, Gulfoss-waterval en Þingvellir National Park. Bovendien brengt u een bezoek aan het vulkanische kratermeer Kerið.

Ophalen in Reykjavík en begeleide transfer naar de eerste sightseeingstop
Golden Circle is de populairste dagtourroute vanuit Reykjavik. De route doorkruist spectaculaire landschappen en omvat drie iconische bestemmingen van IJsland: het geothermische gebied Geysir, de Gullfoss-waterval en het nationale park Thingvellir.
Strokkur is het broertje of de beroemde Geysir die niet meer actief is. Strokkur is echter nog steeds zeer actief en blaast elke 7 tot 10 minuten water de lucht in. We stoppen meestal voor de lunch bij Geysir voor ongeveer 40 minuten Bij deze halte kun je ook eten kopen.
Gullfoss is een waterval van de witte rivier Hvítá. De waterval bestaat uit twee delen van respectievelijk 11 en 21 meter, waar het water met 100 m3 per seconde naar beneden raast.
De Thingvellir zijn zowel in historisch al in geologisch opzicht een belangrijke locatie. Hier werd het eerste parlement van IJsland gesticht in het jaar 930. Hier komen de Noord-Amerikaanse en Euraziatische tektonische platen samen.
Kerið is een iconische vulkanische krater met een diepte van 55 meter.

The tour guide, Sunny, was awesome. She was very clear with instructions and was informative but not overly.
Once we got onto the bus and started the tour everything was great. The only reason I gave this tour a 4 was because of the lack of information before the bus arrived. There was no clear signage or representative to meet us and tell us where to wait or when to expect the bus. Thanks to Darren our guide and “the Bear” our driver our whole experience changed and we were very well treated. Darren told us so much about Iceland and the sites that we saw! And he was incredibly informative, entertaining, and truly cared that we all had a great experience. What started out as a miserable morning because of the mid-communication at the port turned out to be one of the best days we had in Iceland thanks to Darren and our driver!
Was an excellent tour got to see numerous sites of Iceland. There was a driver as well as an individual who narrated the tour as we went along highly recommend.

Great tour with Darren and the Bear
Excellent tour hosted by Darren with Bjorn driving. A decent amount of time at each stop with useful hints and tips to get the most out of each place. Darren’s commentary en route was entertaining and informative. A great mood on the bus helped by some sunshine. Itinerary of geysers, waterfalls, volcanic crater was varied and amazing. Pick up was as advertised. Unfortunately a couple of cruise ships in ant the same time and multiple tours stressed out a few people. Just be patient folks. The bus arrived on time!

Darren and The Bear were FANTASTIC! We had such a great day and saw so much. It was so nice to be taken to all of the fabulous sights on such an organized, well- run tour.
