Tijdens de tour bezoeken we enkele van de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden van Stone Town, waaronder het House of Wonders, het oude fort, het paleis van de sultan en ik neem je mee naar het dak van het Maru Maru hotel om een uitzicht op de stenen stad te zien. Je zult ook door de smalle straatjes en steegjes dwalen en de bezienswaardigheden, geluiden en geuren van deze levendige stad in je opnemen. Ik zal verhalen delen over het verleden van Stone Town, vanaf de begindagen als handelshaven tot zijn rol als centrum van de slavenhandel. (INLEIDING) Deze tour geeft u een uitstekende manier om vertrouwd te raken met de geografie, geschiedenis, architectuur en cultuur van Stone Town. Deze fascinerende excursie leidt u door een doolhof van smalle straatjes met meer dan 2000 kalkstenen gebouwen, met een oppervlakte van 50 hectare en met een bevolking van 25000 inwoners die in de buitenwijken wonen. We elected to enjoy the stone town tour with Nas. He was the perfect host for this excursion. Nas is hugely knowledgeable and keen to share the history and culture of Stone Town. He is friendly informative fluent and hugely entertaining. An absolutely wonderful tour of Stone town and the market
I had booked this a day before and so glad we did, because we learned so much from Nas. Not only was the tour about Stonetown as an area, but Nas was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area and you can tell he loved the area and its history. We were running quite late (got lost in the area) and Nas was very accommodating! In fact he met us where we were ! He walked us to where we wanted to go shopping afterwards to make sure we didn’t get lost again :). It was great to have a true local (we bumped into his sister along the way!) show us the sites and teaching us some Swahili. Asante Sana Nas!
We had an incredible walking tour of Stone Town with Nas! His deep passion for the city's history really shines through in everything he shares. We had the absolute best time exploring Stone Town with Nas! He took us to all the must-see landmarks and historic spots, and honestly, we loved every second of it. Nas has a wealth of knowledge about the local culture, history, and architecture, answering all our random questions without missing a beat. It was the perfect introduction to Stone Town and Zanzibar as a whole. Beyond being an incredible guide who really knows his stuff, Nas is just a genuinely warm, enthusiastic, and caring person. Nas spoke English well and did a great job of showing us around the city. He also negotiated for souvenirs for us. Nas was a great asset during our time in stone town, for example finding a laundry mat.

Nasser was an amazing guide. He spoke very good English and explained everything clearly and succinctly. He was very kind and patient with us and answered all our questions. He started by asking us what we preferred to focus on and then built the tour around our interests. Having said that, we covered all the major historical sites, along with the Darajani Bazaar, where we got to shop for spices. He also got us free ice cream! Overall, a resounding 10 out of 10.
Nas,was the best host we had. He is very patient, kind and respectful. I like how he personalises each tour to a groups liking while making sure he gives you all the information about Zanzibar. He is also mindful of the environment, picks up the litter as we were walking. Amazing photographer as well.
