Ga op een onvergetelijke reis door de betoverende landschappen van IJsland met onze dagtour Golden Circle vanuit Reykjavik! Begin bij Thingvellir National Park, een UNESCO Werelderfgoed waar het oude parlement van IJsland werd opgericht in 930 na Christus. Vervolgens zuivelboerderij Efstidalur voor biologische, zelfgemaakte ijsjes die de essentie van IJsland belichamen. Ervaar het geothermische gebied Geysir. Bezoek de Gullfoss waterval. Verrijk je ervaring bij Friðheimar tomatenboerderij, kas en interactie met IJslandse paarden. Een van de meest interessante locaties in IJsland vanwege het geologische en historische belang. Het houdt de bijeenkomst van de Amerikaanse en Euraziatische tektonische platen, maar ook deze plaats werd gekozen om de algemene vergadering te vieren, dit is waar het IJslandse parlement werd gesticht in 930 na Christus.
Hoewel deze prachtige waterval niet een van de grootste van het land is, is het een van de meest geliefde watervallen van de IJslanders vanwege de locatie en vanwege zijn historische betekenis
We zullen Efstidalur melkveehouderij bezoeken voor wat ijs en ook om IJslandse koeien en andere dieren te bezoeken.
Het geothermische gebied van Geysir is vrij verbluffend, waar u getuige bent van de geiser Strokkur die elke vijf minuten uitbreekt.
De donderende Gullfoss-waterval staat bovenaan vele lijsten als een krachtig en hypnotiserend natuurlijk fenomeen
Na de lunch (niet inbegrepen) op deze tomatenboerderij, zullen we inzicht krijgen in de processen van de glastuinbouw, met een kort en informatief gesprek over het onderwerp. Ook fokt Friðheimar IJslandse paarden, dus we zullen er een paar kunnen zien en aaien.
Het is een van de vele kratermeren in het gebied, bekend als de westelijke vulkanische zone van IJsland, waaronder het Reykjanes-schiereiland en de Langjökull-gletsjer, gecreëerd toen het land over een gelokaliseerde hotspot ging, maar het is degene met de meest visueel herkenbare caldera nog onbeschadigd.

-Het ophaalproces begint om 8.30 uur en gaat door tot ongeveer 9.00 uur, terwijl we passagiers van verschillende locaties ophalen. Wij verzoeken u vriendelijk om uiterlijk 08.30 uur op de door u gekozen ophaallocatie aanwezig te zijn. Het is belangrijk dat we uw e-mailadres bij ons hebben, zodat we u 30 minuten vóór de geplande ophaaltijd een e-mail kunnen sturen. In deze e-mail vindt u een beschrijving van onze auto, inclusief foto en kenteken. In de e-mail vermelden wij ook de naam van de gids. Onze chauffeur-gids stopt altijd, stapt uit de auto en gaat naar u op zoek. Ze verlaten het ophaalpunt niet tenzij ze u niet kunnen vinden. -Als u in de binnenstad verblijft en u vindt de naam van uw hotel niet in de lijst, dan hebben wij u nodig om de bushalte te gebruiken die is aangewezen voor uw specifieke accommodatie. Deze bushaltes zijn door de stad Reykjavik aangelegd om het verkeer van bussen en grotere voertuigen in de soms smalle straatjes in de oudere delen van Reykjavik te beperken.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the Best Tours I’ve Ever Been On! Our Golden Circle tour in Iceland was absolutely incredible, and so much of that was because of our amazing tour guide- Gon! He was extremely knowledgeable, informative, funny, and engaging, but in such a calm and easygoing way. He shared so much fascinating information about Iceland—its history, culture, geography, and incredible landscape—without ever making it feel overwhelming or rehearsed. He has a natural way of sharing his knowledge that makes you genuinely want to listen and learn. Everything about the day was seamless. He was incredibly punctual, the pick-up and drop-off locations were perfect, and his driving was excellent. We felt comfortable, safe, and well taken care of throughout the entire tour. His relaxed personality, subtle sense of humor, and incredible knowledge made the entire experience so enjoyable and memorable. He didn’t just drive us around the Golden Circle—he really added so much to the experience and helped us appreciate Iceland on a completely different level. I’ve been on many tours while traveling, and I can genuinely say this was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. I would recommend him without hesitation. If you’re visiting Iceland and have the opportunity to take a tour with him, absolutely do it! 🇮🇸❤️
This may have been the best tour I have been on. Our guide Einar was a real pro. He was equal parts funny and informative. The tour was well organized and ran smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing ice cream and the dinner at the Tomato Farm. Lastly, I greatly enjoyed talking with Einar at the end and getting lots of recommendations for local food and shopping.

This tour was a great experience and better than advertised. Our tour guide Einar was super knowledgeable, and took really good care of us throughout the day. We enjoyed every stop, and even got to pet a dog while having ice cream.

Excellent tour well hosted by Ionut who managed to maintain an interesting, informative and sometimes amusing commentary whilst keeping us safely between the ditches. Good pace and plenty of interesting stops at comfortable intervals. The only minor hitch was because we were given the wrong licence number for our pickup van resulting in a bit of a delay and misunderstanding. Otherwise first class

We had beautiful weather the whole day. Our guide Ionut was so great and entertained us during the bus travel. So glad we opted for the stops at the dairy farm for ice cream and the tomato farm for lunch. Seeing the wonders of Iceland is a must, especially the Geysir, the Gullfoss waterfall and the crater. East west is the best tour company without a doubt, as we were with a different tour company the day before. Highly recommend!

Wow, what a great day. The pick up was flawless. Michaela, our guide was excellent .Very informative and personable. She explained what we were doing and where we would be with great insight, and knowlege. Her insightful tips helped us beat the rush when things got busy. We even saw an Icelandic horse herd being moved on the highway. Some horses were trotting in the “Tolt” style as earlier described by Michaela. So cool. I highly recommend this tour, guide, and company. 10 stars.

I was concerned about 9 hour tour, but I went for it and we were so glad. Time flew by. The sites were great. Pacing was great so not too long in one place or on the road. Never felt rushed, nor were we sitting around bored. The best part was our tour guide Gon. He was so knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. Just excellent guy. Really can’t say enough about it. This was in a Mercedes Sprinter so 17 on our tour (19 max) and it was very comfortable. Again, ask for Gon. He is the best!!

Baldvin is an excellent guide/driver. His all-day narrative was packed with geologically correct terms and geophysically correct processes. He should be teaching the geographical stuff in a university. He kept us on schedule and hit all the marks. About the tour itself, was wonderful. Well worth the day.
