Je avontuurlijke dagtour begint met een middag ophalen door Reykjavik. Vanuit de hoofdstad gaat u richting uw eerste sightseeingstop van de dag, Thingvellir National Park.
Thingvellir is rijk aan zowel gelogie als geschiedenis, omdat het de plaats is waar de Euraziatische en Noord-Amerikaanse tektonische platen een rol gaan spelen en ook de oudste bestaande parliatment in de wereld houdt, Althingi die daar werd opgericht in het jaar 930. Drink in de ware schoonheid en kracht van moeder natuur in dit prachtige nationale park voordat je doorgaat naar je volgende halte, Geysir warmwaterbron.
Geysir draait helemaal om spuitende geisers. Hier ervaart u Strokkur geysir uitloopwater tot 25 - 40 m hoog in de lucht. Het is een ervaring als geen ander, prachtig maar ongelooflijk moment dus zorg ervoor dat je je camera bij je hebt. Strokkur barst elke 8 - 10 minuten los.
Het laatste hoogtepunt van je Golden Circle-sightseeingavontuur is de magische Gullfoss-waterval, beter bekend als de Golden Falls. Gullfoss is de meest populaire waterval in IJsland en om een goede reden daalt deze prachtige waterval 32 m in twee etappes, waardoor je een aantal fantastische fotomogelijkheden hebt. Na het bewonderen van de adembenemende schoonheid van de Gullfoss-waterval, begint u met het maken van uw weg terug naar Reykjavik, waar uw tocht eindigt. Je kunt verwachten rond 18:00 uur terug te zijn in Reykjavik.
De krater van Kerið, een geologisch wonder dat meer dan 6500 jaar geleden ontstond, is het resultaat van een vulkaanuitbarsting die ervoor zorgde dat een kegelvormige vulkaan instortte, waardoor de opvallende krater ontstond die we vandaag de dag zien. Na verloop van tijd vulde de krater zich met water, waardoor er een prachtig blauw meer in de caldera ontstond. Het levendige blauwgroene water en het contrasterende rode vulkanische gesteente maken Kerið een must-see bestemming. De caldera heeft een diameter van 886 voet (270 meter), met steile wanden die tot 180 voet (55 meter) hoog reiken. Vanaf de kraterrand kunt u op heldere dagen genieten van adembenemende panoramische uitzichten op het omliggende landschap en de verre bergen. Voor een beter zicht kunt u een 20 minuten durende rondwandeling rond het meer maken om prachtige foto's te maken en het betoverende blauwe water van de krater ten volle te waarderen. In de zomer contrasteren de rode vulkanische rotsen prachtig met het groene mos. In de winter word je betoverd door de met sneeuw bedekte hellingen en het bevroren meer, waardoor Kerið het hele jaar door een wonder is.

Houd er rekening mee dat we alleen de ophaallocaties bedienen die in onze onderstaande ophaallijst zijn vermeld. Vanwege verkeersbeperkingen mogen we niet ophalen bij hotels in het centrum van de stad, noch bij particuliere Air BnB's. BELANGRIJK: Ophalen begint om 12:00 uur precies. Zorg dat u op dit moment klaarstaat op uw ophaallocatie. Houd er rekening mee dat het tot 30 minuten kan duren voordat uw gids u bereikt, afhankelijk van uw locatie en verkeersomstandigheden. AFZETTEN: U wordt rond 18:00 uur afgezet bij uw oorspronkelijke ophaalpunt. Tijden kunnen variëren afhankelijk van het verkeer en de weersomstandigheden.

We had wonderful day seeing the geological features near Reykjavik. Arthur was a terrific guide giving us local and historic insights to the countryside. Plenty of time at each site and scenic views traveling from place to place. Highly recommend!
Horrible experience and would not recommend this company. Obviously it’s not the spots or scenery but it’s the guide/driver that makes or breaks the experience. Mt guide had no concept of time or that people may have other plans after this tour. He went over by an hour and fifteen minutes and tried to justify that that’s how it is . I had to show him the written info from the company to prove that he ran over by a lot. I had to spend 22k isk because of this to make it to my next spot. I reached out to the company to make things right and they gave me a general corporate answer. My trip felt stressful because I kept looking at the clock and then calling to my next activity which was also paid for to see if they can wait. In the stress I forgot a bag in the bus and I called them about that and again no response. The company is arctic adventures. I would not pick them again. Try bus travel or nordur—- way better guides.

This tour was fantastic! Exactly what we were hoping for. We wanted to be able to do the Golden Circle the day we landed and this was the best option and just the right amount of time. We thought it was the perfect amount of time at each stop also. Our guide was great. She read us popular folklore and stories from Iceland during our drives from place to place and told us so many interesting things about how people live in Iceland. Highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic tour! Hits all the highlights and you get plenty of time at each stop. Driver was great and van had places to charge your phone at each seat.
Super beautiful tour. Helgi was our tour guide and picked us up on time at the harbor in Reykjavik. It was a rainy day, but we were still able to take good photos of the various spots. There was also always enough time if you want to see all the attractions of the Golden Circle in a short time and yet cannot plan a whole day for it. We were out for about 6 hours for it.
