U verkent Thingvellir National Park, een historische en geologische bezienswaardigheid en een UNESCO-erfgoedlocatie. Het park staat niet alleen bekend als de plaats van het eerste parlement dat ooit is opgericht en nog steeds actief is, maar het is ook de beste plek op aarde om de North Atlantic Divergent Ridge te bekijken.
Voel bij Geysir de kracht van de hitte in de grond, adem de zwavelhoudende stoom uit het hete water en zie de spectaculaire uitbarstingen uitgevoerd door geysir genaamd Strokkur, die elke 5 tot 10 minuten uitbarst.
