A wonderful tour with good accommodations and space for experiences on site. Everything worked perfectly in accordance with the booking.
Dear Anika, Thank you so much for this! Kerala has a beautiful way of giving you a little bit of everything, and we are so glad the trip felt balanced and unhurried. Knowing that the on-the-ground experience matched what was promised means a great deal to us. We hope the memories from Kerala stay with you for a long time and that we get to welcome you back to India someday. Warm regards, Team Bout India
Outstanding trip. Bout India made our dream come true !
Dear Thierry, Thank you for the kind words! It was a pleasure crafting this journey for you both. We hope the memories stay with you for a long time, and that India calls you back soon! Gratefully, The Bout India Team
From the start of planning our trip to Kerala the communication with Bout India was very good and all queries were promptly answered professionally. We spent two weeks traveling by car from Kochi to Kanyakumari the southern tip of India and returning by a very comfortable train ride. Everything went according to plan and timing which was amazing given the traffic in this part of India. The tour was well planned and we usually spent two nights in each hotel which also gave us a chance to relax between sightseeing tours. We took several boat trips as the area around Kochy is full of canals and waterways. An overnight on a comfortable house boat in Aleppy with a very helpful and friendly crew and excellent food was a very enjoyable experience. The star of the show for us was Denis our driver whose style of driving was much more Indian than European which required a bit of getting used to but got us everywhere safely. Denis was always punctual always thinking ahead and went out of his way to make our trip the success that it was. My wife had her birthday during this trip and Denis organized a birthday cake without any prompting, what a nice surprise. The hotels were well chosen and all very comfortable. We never experienced any crowds or long waiting times at either hotels or tours. This trip I would describe as perfect for couples wanting to discover Kerala at their own pace.
Dear Harry, Kerala has a way of surprising you at every turn, and it sounds like it did exactly that! We are so glad the journey felt unhurried and well paced, and that the planning gave you and your wife the space to truly soak in each destination. The backwaters, the houseboat in Alleppey, the drive down to Kanyakumari, Kerala really does offer such a beautifully layered experience, and knowing that every detail came together seamlessly throughout means a great deal to us. It also warms our hearts to know that your wife had such a special birthday moment along the way. Those little touches are what make a trip truly unforgettable. Thank you for trusting us with your Kerala adventure, and for taking the time to share your experience so warmly. We hope it won't be your last time in India. Warm regards, Team Bout India
Excellent organisation with a good and knowledgeable guide in Cochin and a good driver throughout. We stayed in very Nice hotels and a fabulous 24 hour luxury trip on the backwaters. It was an extremely broad view of the area which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Dear Pam, Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the organisation of your trip, along with the knowledgeable guide in Cochin and the consistent support of your driver throughout the journey. It’s wonderful to know that the hotel selections and your 24-hour luxury backwaters experience were highlights that peaceful time on the water is always something special. We’re also pleased that the itinerary gave you a broad and enjoyable overview of the region. Thank you again for choosing Bout India. We would be delighted to plan another memorable journey for you in the future. Warm regards, Team Bout India
January trip organized by ‘Bout India in was excellent. We knew we wanted to go to Kerala and shared our interests and worked closely with the agency to put together a ten day week in Kerala plus 3 days in Delhi. Bout India supplied wonderful drivers, comfortable transport and excellent accommodations. We appreciated the local guides in Kochi, Delhi, And Munnar for their local knowledge and experience. Our trip was disrupted early by a cancelled flight (Air Canada) that delayed the start by three days. While this could have been disastrous, and required significant additional work for ‘Bout India; cancelling and rescheduling drivers and hotels, all was handled smooth, confidently and our trip rescued! We would welcome the opportunity to book with this team again and will if we are lucky enough to return to India. First class operation.
Dear Marcia, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that your January trip to Kerala and Delhi turned out to be such a memorable one. It’s wonderful to know that the itinerary we crafted together reflected your interests so well and that you enjoyed the drivers, comfortable transport, accommodations, and knowledgeable local guides along the way. We truly appreciate your understanding and kind words regarding the unexpected flight cancellation. While disruptions like that can be stressful, we’re glad our team could step in quickly, reorganise the logistics, and ensure your journey was smoothly back on track. Your trust and flexibility meant a lot to us. Thank you for calling Bout India a first-class operation; it means the world to our entire team. We would be absolutely thrilled to welcome you back and plan another unforgettable journey whenever you return to India. Warm regards, Team Bout India
I worked with Bout India to create a trip that worked for the very specific timings we had. They answered the brief perfectly. For example, I wanted to include motorbike riding and horse riding for my husband and myself plus birdwatching . All incorporated. We prefer small boutique/ heritage hotels. Everywhere we stayed was lovely . Finally I cannot praise our driver enough: Vineesh was amazing. Super professional, an excellent safe driver , but also a lovely person who did everything possible to make our trip exactly what we wanted. He offered his local knowledge and we experienced the best Toddy shop & excellent local fish restaurants thanks to him and he was always ready to get me a fresh coconut or pineapple , both of which I developed a passion for, from good roadside vendors Kerala itself is stunning, delicious food, lovely people , amazing scenery from the tea plantations to the backwaters and beaches.
Dear Kate, Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear that we were able to design a trip that matched your very specific timings and interests so perfectly. Incorporating motorbike riding, horse riding, and birdwatching—while also ensuring charming boutique and heritage stays—is exactly the kind of personalised experience we love creating. Your kind words about Vineesh truly mean a lot to us. He will be thrilled to know how much you appreciated his professionalism, safe driving, and warm hospitality. Helping you discover local toddy shops, wonderful fish restaurants, and keeping you supplied with fresh coconuts and pineapples is very much in the spirit of authentic Kerala experiences, and we’re so glad he could add that special local touch to your journey. Kerala really is magical, from the tea plantations to the backwaters and beaches, and it’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the food, scenery, and people as much as we do. Thank you once again for choosing Bout India—it was a pleasure planning your trip, and we’d love to welcome you back for another bespoke adventure in India someday. Warm regards, Team BoutIndia
My wife and I needed to cover nine days between a trip to northern India and another to Sri Lanka and we booked this trip to southern India to fill that gap. It was perfect for us in many ways. The food and hotels were excellent and the sights superb. The only issue we had was that the English for some of or local guides was poor. We had our own private driver and his English was ok but it’s though to drive and be a travel guide at the same time. That said, I recommend the God’s Own Country tour from Bout India. You won’t be disappointed.
Dear Daniel, Thank you for taking the time to share your honest and balanced feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that your time in southern India fit so perfectly into your travel plans and that you enjoyed the food, hotels, and superb sights along the way. Kerala truly is “God’s Own Country,” and we’re glad it lived up to expectations 😊 We also genuinely appreciate your constructive note regarding the English proficiency of some local guides. Your feedback is important to us, and we will certainly review this internally to ensure clearer communication and an even smoother experience for future guests. As you rightly mentioned, having a private driver adds comfort and flexibility, and we’re glad his support worked well overall during the journey. Thank you once again for recommending our God’s Own Country tour. It means a lot to us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to India for another memorable experience in the future. Warm regards, Team BoutIndia
I recently traveled to Kerala for six unforgettable days with my companion, and I can't speak highly enough of the service provided by Bout India, especially our contact Laxmi. Each location we visited—Kochi, Aleppey, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram—was thoughtfully curated to showcase the best of Kerala's culture, history, and relaxation. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the luxurious houseboat stay in Aleppey. The amazing service, comfortable accommodations, and delicious food made it a true escape. We even had the unique experience of purchasing fresh seafood from a local shop, which our onboard cook transformed into an exquisite dinner! In Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, we enjoyed rich cultural activities, while Kollam offered the perfect setting for relaxation, capped by a fabulous New Year's Eve party. Throughout our journey, Laxmi ensured we had constant support, checking in frequently to see how everything was going. Our knowledgeable guides enhanced every experience, adapting seamlessly to an unforeseen event in Thiruvananthapuram to ensure we made the most of our day. I wholeheartedly recommend Bout India for anyone looking to explore India. I'm already looking forward to planning my next vacation with them!
Dear Parijat, Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review of your Kerala journey. We’re absolutely delighted to know that your six days with us were truly unforgettable 😊 It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the carefully curated mix of culture, history, relaxation, and celebrations across Kochi, Aleppey, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram. Your description of the luxury houseboat experience in Aleppey made us smile — especially the part about buying fresh local seafood and having it prepared onboard. Those authentic, local moments are exactly what make Kerala so special. We’re also glad that New Year’s Eve in Kollam, along with the cultural experiences in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, added such beautiful variety to your trip. A special thank you for highlighting Laxmi’s constant support and follow-ups — we’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to her. It’s great to know that our guides could smoothly adapt to unexpected changes and still ensure you made the most of your time. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we would be absolutely thrilled to help you plan your next vacation in India. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon! Warm regards, Team BoutIndia
We returned from Kerela last week after a fantastic holiday. We were picked up from the airport by our driver and guide and transported in a very comfortable mini bus. Air conditioning and cool water readily available. We visited the Paredisi Synagogue, saw the Chinese fishing nets and witnessed a wedding turning up at the Santa Cruz Basilica. Fabulous. Our hotel (Fern) was comfortable and the staff helpful and attentive. Before heading on we spent the next day on Kumbalinga Island. Watched in amazement as men climbed coconut trees, women made ropes and finished with a boat trip along the mangrove forests. The bird life is wonderful...even saw a kingfisher!. We moved on to Munnar, stopping at the Dutch Palace and much excitement when an elephant just wandered out of the forest to pose . Waterfalls, spice centre and lots of monkeys....perfect. Ended the day watching a martial arts display. We spent the next few days visiting tea plantations, a cave where a tiger lived( though clearly he's moved out now). And the evening included watching 3 matron elephants 2 teenagers and 2 very small elephants visiting a water hole. Really made my day. The highlight of the trip had to be our stay on the houseboat....just the 4 of us... at Alleppey. The crew were so kind, the food wonderful and a perfect place to celebrate my special birthday. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable and I can't praise it enough. We went on to Periyar, what an amazing hotel " Coffee Routes" is. Set with the jungle all around, the birds waking us in the morning with sounds you just don't hear in England. The jungle walk is fabulous, the sailing on bamboo rafts was a great experience and the rangers were helpful and knowledgeable. Our final destination was Madurai where we visited the Temple complex. There was a festival going on , so very busy, and unfortunately the Temples were covered in scaffolding to do maintenance. A shame, but still worth the visit . We can't praise the driver/ guide enough either. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and put in many, many miles....I don't think I'd be brave enough to tackle some of the cities, so much traffic. We left India full of affection for the place and especially the people. Bout India Tours is certainly worth contacting for a great experience, a wonderful holiday. Only downside is it seemed to be over way too soon.
Dear Moyra, Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderfully vivid and heartfelt review. Reading about your journey through Kerala truly brings it to life, and we’re delighted to know that your holiday was such a fantastic and memorable experience, especially as it included celebrating your special birthday. It’s lovely to hear how much you enjoyed the variety of experiences, from the cultural highlights in Kochi and the unique traditions on Kumbalangi Island, to the natural beauty of Munnar, the magical wildlife moments in Periyar, and the serenity of your private houseboat in Alleppey. We’re especially pleased that the houseboat stay and its warm crew, delicious food, and comfort made your birthday celebration so special. Your kind words about the hotels, particularly Coffee Routes, and the unforgettable sights and sounds of the jungle mean a great deal to us. We’re also very grateful for your appreciation of your driver and guide; their knowledge, friendliness, and dedication are key to creating a safe and enriching experience, and we’ll be sure to pass on your compliments. Thank you for recommending Bout India Tours and for trusting us with such a meaningful journey. We’re delighted that you left India with such affection for the country and its people, even if it all felt far too short. We would be honoured to help you plan another wonderful adventure whenever you’re ready to return. Warm regards, Team BoutIndia
Bout Tours helped us plan a perfect trip for my sister in law’s special birthday. They understood what we wanted to do and see and tailored the activities to our senior years. Lots of good advice and support both before and during the trip. They always responded quickly and efficiently to our requests. Hotels were all stunning. Our driver, Mr Suraj, was the real star of the trip. He was always willing to stop and help us see things we spotted on the journey that were not on the itinerary. He made sure that we were always comfortable and got to our booked experiences on time. The guides provided by Bout Tours were excellent and brought the places visited and history to life. Our favourite part of the trip was the private houseboat at Alleppey. Magical sunrise and tranquil lake cruise. The onboard catering was great! Really, our tour was filled with so much wonder, history and fun there is too much to say. But the elephants at Periyar coming down to bathe in the evening, the Kathakali show at Periyar, the tea plantation at Munar, and the historic quarter of Kochi were amongst the highlights. If you are interested in beautiful scenery, incredible history, great food and friendly people then Kerela is a must! The only thing we would not repeat, at our age, is the jeep drive. Everything we saw was wonderful but the drive is not for 70 year olds!!
Dear Andrew, Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful and detailed review. We’re truly honoured that you chose Bout India to plan such a special birthday journey for your sister-in-law, and we’re delighted to know the trip was everything you hoped for and more. It means a lot to us that you felt heard and supported throughout the planning and travel process, especially in tailoring the experiences to suit your comfort and preferences. Your kind words about the hotels, guides, and overall organisation are deeply appreciated. A very special thank you for mentioning Mr. Suraj. We will proudly pass on your compliments to him. His care, flexibility, and attentiveness truly reflect the values we strive for at Bout India, and we’re so happy he made your journey even more memorable. We’re also delighted that you enjoyed the magical moments in Kerala, from the private houseboat in Alleppey and its serene sunrise, to the elephants at Periyar, the Kathakali performance, the tea plantations of Munnar, and the historic charm of Kochi. These are exactly the kinds of experiences we love creating for our guests. Thank you as well for your honest feedback; it’s invaluable and helps us continue improving the comfort and suitability of our itineraries for all age groups. It was a pleasure planning this journey for you, and we would be truly delighted to welcome you again for another beautifully tailored experience in India whenever you wish to return. Warmest regards, Team BoutIndia
