Het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten in het Marina District van San Francisco, Californië, is een monumentale structuur die oorspronkelijk is gebouwd voor de Panama Pacific-tentoonstelling van 1915 om kunstwerken te exposeren die daar worden gepresenteerd. Een van de weinige overgebleven structuren uit de tentoonstelling, het bevindt zich nog steeds op de oorspronkelijke locatie. Naast het houden van kunsttentoonstellingen, blijft het een populaire aantrekkelijkheid voor toeristen en plaatselijke bewoners.
Zeker de meest gefotografeerde brug ter wereld, de Golden Gate Bridge is synoniem met San Francisco. Rijd naar het kijkgebied of de voet van de brug bij Fort Point om foto's te maken. Je kunt nog betere foto's maken bij Baker Beach, een paar minuten rijden voorbij de brug!
Er gaat niets boven het zoomen op Lombard Street, San Francisco's "Crookedest Street" in je GoCar aan het einde van je tour. Dit is een geweldige manier om een van de meest iconische straten van San Francisco te ervaren.
Rijd door de Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco en passeer onderweg de bruisende Crab Shacks, Bakeries en Curio Shops op weg naar Golden Gate Bridge. Vergeet niet te zwaaien naar de andere bezoekers!
Zoek naar zanddollars in de mist en maak foto's van Seal Rock terwijl deze uitmondt in de Stille Oceaan bij Ocean Beach.
Enkele van de mooiste uitzichten op de Baai van San Francisco bevinden zich in het Presidio, een ontmantelde militaire basis met prachtige architectuur, een oorlogsmonument, het Disney Museum en zelfs een bowlingbaan! Dit gebied ligt op slechts 15 minuten rijden van Fisherman's Wharf, maar voelt aan als een andere wereld!
Aan de voet van de Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point is zowel een uitstekende foto-plek voor de brug en een fascinerend monument voor Gold Rush -era San Francisco.
Crissy Field is de plek waar San Franciscan oefent en speelt. Zwaai naar hardlopers, voetballers en hondenuitlaters terwijl je langs prachtige uitzichten over de baai zoomt op weg naar de Golden Gate Bridge.
Golden Gate Park, een natuurlijk en cultureel centrum, beslaat bijna de helft van San Francisco, en is de thuisbasis van het Conservatory of Flowers, California Academy of Sciences, deYoung Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake en de Buffalo Paddock.

- GoCars bieden plaats aan maximaal 2 personen. Prijzen zijn per GoCar - niet per persoon.
- De afhaallocatie moet tijdens het boeken worden gekozen. Dit is de locatie waar uw GoCar wordt gereserveerd
- De bestuurder moet 21 jaar of ouder zijn om te huren en moet een belangrijke creditcard en geldig rijbewijs bij het inchecken verstrekken. Een rijbewijs moet fysiek in het bezit van de klant zijn (geen fotokopie). Voor buitenlandse klanten is een internationale licentie niet nodig.
- Passagiers moeten 4 jaar of ouder zijn - en kleine kinderen moeten veilig passen in een van onze DOT goedgekeurde helmen. De GoCar is geregistreerd als een motorfiets, maar een motorrijbewijs is niet vereist om het voertuig te besturen.
- Alle huurders moeten in staat zijn om een vrijgave van aansprakelijkheid en afstandsverklaring te lezen, begrijpen en ondertekenen (standaard deelnemersovereenkomst)
- Op de dag van verhuur wordt een borg van $ 500 ingehouden op de creditcard van de klant. Als een CDW- of SLI-verzekeringsplan wordt geselecteerd, wordt een borg van $ 300 ingehouden. De borg wordt vrijgegeven bij het inleveren van de GoCar.
- Opties voor vreemde talen zijn beschikbaar in het Frans, Spaans, Italiaans en Duits
- Voor de veiligheid en het comfort van passagiers bedraagt de maximale hoogte 1,94 m (6'4 ") en het maximale gecombineerde gewicht van 226,8 kg (500 lbs) voor twee passagiers
- Kun je onderweg stoppen?
- Ja, je stelt je eigen tempo in. De auto weet altijd waar je bent en je kunt zo lang als je wilt parkeren waar je maar wilt (parkeerplaats voor motoren of auto's) en zodra je weer begint te rijden, begint de auto te praten!
- Moet je op de tour blijven?
- Absoluut niet! Als er een bezienswaardigheid in San Francisco is die je wilt zien, maar die nog niet bij de tour is inbegrepen, gebruik dan de meegeleverde kaart om je eigen weg door de straten van de stad te navigeren.
- voertuigen:
- Worden bestuurd met een handvat in de stijl van een motorfiets, gashendel en handremmen. De driewielige auto's bieden plaats aan twee en hebben een afsluitbare koffer voor uw spullen. Hun kleine formaat maakt parkeren een eitje, en in San Francisco - een grote bonus!
- Hoe snel gaat de auto?
- Tot 35 mph. Houd er rekening mee dat bestuurders in San Francisco normaal niet snel rijden, daarom kan een gemiddelde snelheid van 30 mph of minder worden verwacht tijdens het rijden.
- Kun je de Golden Gate Bridge oversteken?
- Nee, maar de tournavigatie leidt je naar Fort Point. Hier zweeft de brug ongeveer 200 voet boven je hoofd. Het is mogelijk om voetgangers toegang te krijgen tot de brugoverspanning vanaf de parkeerplaats op het uitkijkpunt van de brug.
- Wat is een CDW?
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is een optionele vorm van verzekering, vergelijkbaar met een huurautoverzekering, die uw aansprakelijkheid bij een ongeval beperkt. Het is niet-restitueerbaar. Als u ervoor kiest om de CDW te kopen, is uw aanbetaling voor het huren van een GoCar slechts USD $ 300,00 in plaats van USD $ 500,00

My experience wasn’t the best. Once arrived to the shop it was so unorganized. No customer service, no one offered help. I had to wait 30 mins after my appointment to be helped and I arrived 20 mins prior to my appointment. Finally when I get checked in, signed the waiver and watched the instructional video I was given keys. My experience on the GoCar sucked. The navigation didn’t speak out loud like it should’ve even though I stay on track. They said if you go off track it won’t speak but it didn’t speak while I was on track the entire time. We got lost then kept driving in circles. I booked a two hour trip but ended it after one hour because of the issues

We loved it, we explore the city and had amazing views! We where able to snap amazing pictures was a bit cold but we loved it

Check in was ridiculously difficult. Information on the tour was severely lacking. Sound didn’t work for part of the ride

Had a few challenges with finding our way round with this tour. Fun cars & easy to drive but the map is terrible - too small to read. It’s easy to get off a tour route as the navigation does not tell you where to go at every intersection. She then stops taking yo you! Tip - use your own mobile GPS - you can’t see the on board one - and know where you’re supposed to be going! Also one hour is not long enough. Allow an extra hour for checking in and getting lost!

We were originally supposed to get the 3-wheeler, but it was very chilly that day. They let us have one of the enclosed golf-cart type cars instead. We had an absolute blast! I love the audio tour guide as we drove through the various areas. We could do our own thing or stick with the GPS route. Highly recommend!!

The ride was fine, but I had to wait one hour to get into the car and the GPS that I was supposed to fallow never work.

My reservation was at 12pm and it took a hour the get out of there and started my ride. It was 200 deposit because I rented 2 go cars and after I turn the car they tried to charge me 100 and I paid for insurance and the GPS was not working. I try to change the time of my reservation and they make it so difficult that I decide not to do anything and show up at the original time.

Our experience with GoCar was below average, beginning with the check-in process. The worker was occupied with trying to figure something else out, didn’t have our waivers ready to sign, and then passed us off to another coworker once we finally signed the waivers. The checkin process took about 30 min as a result. The GoCar was louder than expected - sounded like a motorcycle in noise level. It was so loud that it was hard to hear the Guided Tour speakers. Unfortunately our GPS stopped working about 30-40 min into our 2 hour tour. We missed all the information about the Golden Gate Bridge and Crissy field, which we were most interested in seeing and learning about. We ended up getting lost due to the frozen gos/tablet. We called the service number and were told someone would FaceTime us to help and no one called us back. It ended up being incredibly stressful being lost with cars beeping at us behind us. The gocar doesn’t have a good turn radius and does not go in reverse. We had to turn around at one point because we were lost and had to get out of the GoCar in the middle of the road to push the car back to full make the turn, all the while cars on the street were beeping at us. Thankfully the GoCar staff agreed to give us a 50% refund, which is why I am not giving this 1 star. However, overall it was a stressful and unpleasant afternoon and I will not be using their services again. GoCar needs to update their technology to prevent the “overheating” that the worker claimed was the issue, however we never stopped long enough for the tablet to be exposed to the sun long enough to overheat. It simply sounded like a poor excuse for old outdated tablets/technology.

We booked the yellow car but upgraded to the ZeroMax. I highly recommend this. The GPS and narrator were excellent. We got to go to places I’ve never seen before. The tour operator was super helpful.
