Een prachtige dagtour vanuit Glasgow die ons naar locaties uit films als Skyfall, Highlander en Harry Potter brengt. We reizen naar Glencoe en de ‘Road to the Isles’, van Fort William naar Glenfinnan. Bekijk de Jacobite Steam Train terwijl deze het Glenfinnan Viaduct oversteekt (apr-okt), een Schots icoon dat beroemd is om zijn klassieke Victoriaanse techniek. Het staat ook bekend als de ‘Harry Potter-brug’ die de jonge tovenaar naar Zweinstein brengt

Luss ligt op de bonnie banken van Loch Lomond. Niet alleen stoppen we hier voor ochtendversnaperingen, maar om te genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op Loch Lomond. Ben Lomond, Schotlands meest zuidelijke Munro, (bergen van meer dan 3000 voet hoog) kan ook worden bekeken vanaf hier.
Glencoe was het decor van een van de meest beruchte periodes in de Schotse geschiedenis, het bloedbad van Glencoe dat plaatsvond in 1692. Het prachtige landschap is een must see voor bezoekers. We stoppen bij het Glencoe Visitor Centre om meer te leren over de geschiedenis van de glen. Het centrum is ook de thuisbasis van het turfhuis waar u kunt zien hoe het leven moet zijn geweest voor de 500-600 sterke gemeenschap die hier in de 17e eeuw in Glencoe woonde. We reizen twee keer door de glen ('s ochtends en 's avonds) en stoppen voor foto's en om het landschap in ons op te nemen terwijl we daar zijn.
In de schaduw van Ben Nevis ligt het vakantiestadje Fort William. We reizen 's ochtends door de stad om mee te doen aan de romantische 'Road to the Isles'
We hebben genoeg tijd om Glenfinnan te bezoeken, omdat de uitzichten hier gewoon spectaculair zijn. Je ziet de 21 bogen van het majestueuze Glenfinnan Viaduct door de vallei krommen in een scène die vereeuwigd is als de route naar Harry Potter’s Hogwarts (van 2 april tot 2 oktober proberen we het viaduct op tijd te bereiken om de Jacobitische stoomtrein te zien oversteken). Het Glenfinnan Monument ligt aan het hoofd van Loch Shiel en werd opgericht in 1815, ter ere van de Jacobieten die vochten en stierven voor de zaak van Bonnie Prince Charlie. Er is ook tijd om entree te betalen om het monument te bezoeken als je dat wilt. (Let op: De Jacobitische stoomtrein rijdt niet tussen 1 en 5 september 2025.)
Na een terugreis door Glencoe & Rannoch moor, zal onze laatste stop van de avond zijn in het Loch Lomond en Trossachs National Park, waar u kunt genieten van een vroege avond verfrissing voor onze terugkeer naar Glasgow.

- Onze tours vertrekken van tussen stand 23 - 32. Gelieve 15 minuten voor vertrek in te checken. Op het informatiebord van het station wordt de exacte stand van de tour weergegeven. Als u niet op tijd arriveert voor het inchecken mist u helaas uw tour.

The trip was great, well planned and executed by our driver and fountain of knowledge Karen, each stop was great and the information given along the was was amazing, we had a smaller 16 seater coach which had air conditioning and generally in very good condition, would we do it again 100%
Our driver and guide Keiran was on time, on point, and always happy to answer questions. He drove fast, but safely and got us to all the good stops with enough time to take pictures, have lunch, etc. even took us on a little unplanned stop to see some adorable highland cows after we told him we would like to see them. We got to the steam train with plenty of time to spare and were back before 8 pm, with optional drop off at grand central for those who wanted. All in all, worth every pound and much less hassle than trying to arrange all these stops individually.

Harry our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. Starting with the trivia of Glasgow and highlands trivia. Small tidbits. Highly recommend. The toilet breaks photo breaks , history lessons everything was perfect. Great chap!! Highly recommend Harry and when I say Harry I don’t mean Potter but the tour guide :)

Harry did a terrific job! Great balance between interesting stories/information about what we were seeing and letting us simply enjoy the scenery as we rode. We had a fairly significant traffic delay on our return, but he still got us to all of our stops, and went well out of his way to find a restroom stop.

I like the frequency of the stops to go to the restaurant and restrooms, my body always feels comfortable during the trip The tour guide has so much knowledge of the areas and stop at beautiful locations for pictures. We begin on time and finish on time I feel that my time was very well respected

It was a wonderful experience. We saw some very beautiful landscape that we could not have accessed without a car. The trip was well organised and our guide Kieran was very kind and funny. He even made several stop on the way to help us get good views and pictures of Glencoe and Highland cows.
