Bewonder de grootste paardensculpturen ter wereld; de Kelpies, volg in de voetsporen van uw favoriete Outlander-personages bij Culross en Falkland en dompel uzelf onder in de Schotse geschiedenis in de thuisbasis van golf, St Andrews.

De Kelpies worden Duke en Baron genoemd, en deze twee ongelooflijke bouwwerken zijn de grootste paardensculpturen ter wereld. Gemaakt van staal, vertegenwoordigen ze een fascinerend wezen van Schotse folklore.
We komen al snel aan bij de Royal Burgh of Culross, een fantastisch voorbeeld van een 17e eeuws dorp, gelegen aan de kust van Fife aan de noordelijke kant van de Forth River. Fans van Outlander zullen dit pittoreske dorpje herkennen als de Mercat Cross als de shows Cranesmuir Village.
We komen op tijd aan in het prachtige middeleeuwse stadje St Andrews voor lunch en versnaperingen. Hier kunt u genieten van een wandeling rond de historische stad. St Andrews is doordrenkt van geschiedenis; het is de thuisbasis van de oudste universiteit in Schotland, een beroemde kathedraal, golfbaan, is waar Prins William Kate ontmoette, en is vernoemd naar de patroonheilige van Schotland. Om meer te weten te komen over St Andrew, en de dag die naar hem vernoemd is. Hier heeft u de mogelijkheid om het kasteel of de kathedraal te bezoeken tegen een extra vergoeding die rechtstreeks aan de attractie wordt betaald (optioneel extra).
Falkland is een charmant dorpje in Fife, en onze volgende stop op de tour. Bekend om zijn rijke geschiedenis, pittoreske straatjes en connecties met Schotse royalty's. Het renaissancepaleis van de steden was ooit een favoriet toevluchtsoord voor de Stuart Kings and Queens. Fans van Outlander herkennen de straten van Falkland misschien ook als Inverness uit 1940 in de show. Hier heeft u de mogelijkheid om Falkland Palace te bezoeken tegen een extra vergoeding die rechtstreeks aan de attractie wordt betaald (optioneel extra).
Op onze terugreis naar Glasgow maken we een fotostop bij een technisch meesterwerk. De 3 bruggen over de Forth, de Queensferry Crossing, de Forth Road Bridge en de Forth Rail Bridge zijn een spectaculair gezicht. Vanaf hier is het nog maar een korte tijd voordat we terugkeren naar Glasgow en onze 1-daagse tour ten einde loopt.

- Onze touringcars beschikken niet over toiletten. Er worden echter regelmatig pauzes ingelast tijdens de reis bij haltes met een toilet.

Lovely day, eye dropping scenery countryside, I saw swam parents with ducklings by the 2 metal horses location! In visitor center saw the video of making the steel horses! Enjoyed tremendously! Saint Andrews a lovely university town , seaside look and plenty stores ! Falkland a very interesting antique shop and palace and loads of flowers! QUEENSFERRY 3 bridges and a massive cruise ship on the water ! Cute town! Farm animals so spectacular and beautiful all over the touring day! Great guide! Passengers please be aware be on time in and out ! Thank u guide I think Altruisse is his name for Monday 13 th July!Please tip the guides they are diligent drivers if u get the chance! Overall the experience was amazing and insightful. In learned the history of the different places we visited from our guide. Time allocated for each of the places was sufficient.
As horse lovers, we really wanted to see the Kelpies and were very impressed. But we also enjoyed St Andrews and the other places we visited. Varied program, nice guide.
Great day of touring. Prompt, interesting stops, attention paid to passengers needs(bathroom stops, cooling of van, etc). Our guide was monotone and at times difficult to understand. Scottish song playlist during down times was wonderful. I do wish a few questions had been better answered and more history and antidotes shared.

Jamie was the best and most knowledgeable guide. The tour offered enough time at each city to see the sites, grab a coffee and snack and shop. This is a full day of history and memorable sites. I am grateful Jamie was our professional guide, he made the sight seeing enjoyable and fun.

Too many stops. Need an additional hour in St Andrew. Loved the Kelties. Driver was lovely and very knowledgeable.

Michelle was an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide! She was full of fun facts and made sure our tour was on time while also creating a fun and friendly atmosphere. She even made time for an extra stop at the Deer Sanctuary! The van itself was very comfortable and the views were outstanding. Would definitely recommend it to see a wide view of Scotland’s beautiful sites!

Callum gave us an excellent tour around fife and st Andrews. I have done other bus trips in Scotland and this was by far my favorite.
