Bezoek het Witte Huis van Korea voordat de toegang voor het publiek eindigt in juni - Slechts 9 gasten per tour Het Blauwe Huis, ook bekend als het Witte Huis van Korea, diende meer dan 70 jaar als presidentiële residentie en kantoor. Decennialang kon niemand naar binnen. Slechts enkele speciale gasten die door de president waren uitgenodigd, mochten naar binnen. Deze omvatten wereldleiders, Olympische medaillewinnaars, K-popsterren zoals BTS en leidinggevenden van bedrijven zoals Samsung of LG. Nu, na een regeringswisseling, staan de poorten open. Maar deze toegang duurt niet eeuwig, dus mis je kans niet! Tijdens deze tour met kleine groepen zal een gelicentieerde gids de geschiedenis, politiek en cultuur van Korea in uitstekend Engels delen met geweldige verhalen. Yeongbingwan werd gebruikt om belangrijke gasten uit andere landen te verwelkomen. Presidenten ontmoetten hier buitenlandse leiders en grote evenementen zoals diners of vergaderingen werden binnen gehouden. Het gebouw ziet er modern uit, maar heeft details in Koreaanse stijl. Het laat zien hoe Korea gasten met respect en zorg verwelkomde. Bezoekers kunnen de grote zaal zien waar veel historische evenementen plaatsvonden.
Dit was het hoofdgebouw waar de president werkte. Hier werden belangrijke vergaderingen gehouden en binnen werden grote beslissingen genomen. Het blauwe dak werd een symbool van de Koreaanse regering. Het gebouw combineert moderne stijl met Koreaanse traditionele schoonheid. Als je ervoor staat, voel je de geschiedenis en kracht van de plek.
Dit gebied is waar het oude hoofdkantoor van de president stond voordat het huidige hoofdgebouw van het Blauwe Huis werd gebouwd. Koreaanse presidenten werkten hier en hielden belangrijke vergaderingen. Veel belangrijke gebeurtenissen in de moderne Koreaanse geschiedenis gebeurden op deze plek. Hoewel het oude gebouw werd verwijderd, toont een stenen stift waar het ooit stond. Het helpt bezoekers te begrijpen hoe Cheong Wa Dae in de loop der tijd veranderde en waar het land ooit vandaan werd geleid. Het is een zinvolle stop in de tour.
Hier woonden de president en hun familie. Het was gescheiden van het kantoor om hen privacy te geven. Het huis was rustig en omgeven door bomen, het aanbieden van een rustige ruimte. Binnen waren er slaapkamers, woonruimtes en plaatsen om gasten te ontmoeten. Als bezoekers hier komen, vragen ze zich vaak af hoe het dagelijks leven voor de president was. Het toont de meer persoonlijke en menselijke kant van de Koreaanse leider.
Bij Chimryugak vinden reizigers een klein, traditioneel paviljoen, omgeven door bomen. U geniet van de rustige sfeer en neemt een korte pauze terwijl uw gids de architectuur en geschiedenis van deze rustige plek uitlegt. Hoewel niet gebruikt voor officiële evenementen, maakte het deel uit van het wandelpad van de president. Het is een geweldige plek om traditioneel Koreaans design te ervaren en rustgevende foto's te maken in de natuur.
Sangchunjae is een van de mooiste traditionele gebouwen op het terrein van het Blauwe Huis. Reizigers zullen leren hoe het werd gebruikt voor speciale gasten en rustige vergaderingen. Je wandelt rond de houten structuur en ziet hoe Koreaanse huizen er in het verleden uitzagen. Uw gids zal uitleggen hoe presidenten deze ruimte gebruikten om de Koreaanse cultuur te delen door middel van thee en gesprekken. Het is een perfecte plek om de warmte en stijl van de Koreaanse tradities te voelen.
In Chunchugwan bezoeken reizigers het voormalige perscentrum waar officiële aankondigingen werden gedaan. Hier kwamen verslaggevers uit Korea en de hele wereld om de president te horen spreken. Je staat waar groot nieuws werd gedeeld en leert over de rol van media in de Koreaanse politiek. Het gebouw ziet er misschien simpel uit, maar het heeft een diepe betekenis.

I had the chance to join the Korea White House Tour before it closed, and what really made it special was our guide Jungho. He was very attentive – always checking that everyone was present, keeping the group together, and making sure we understood everything. The information he shared was perfectly balanced: not too much, not too little – just enough to stay curious and follow along easily. He answered all of our questions with patience and really brought the experience to life. Even though we walked a lot, it never felt tiring because the tour was so engaging and beautifully paced. You could tell he genuinely cared about giving us a great experience. The tour itself may not be available anymore, but if you ever get the chance to join another experience with this guide, I’d absolutely recommend it😊

Our guide Jungho was exceptional, knowledgeable, and engaging, making the tour truly memorable. He provided valuable insights into the Blue House's architecture and historical significance. Korea's White House tour: It was very good tour. I learned a lot about Korean history. Tour guide Jungho was amazing: He sent very clear instruction where to meet up, he walked with us 2 hrs and explain many interesting details about Korean history, he even walked me back to Metro station. The site was amazing to see - highly recommend a visit to Blue Plaza, especially this walking tour with Jungho. Our guide - Jungho - enhanced our experience by giving us interesting facts and stories. Jungho was fluent in English, making it joyfull and easy to listen to him. Nice balance between hearing about the vast history and being able to look around at the scenery and take photos. The tour took approximately two hours visiting the various parts of the area, including small breaks. Bonus points for Jungho being accomondating, funny and telling us some fun facts along the way!

It was an amazing tour with Jungho! Jungo was a great guide. He brought us water, and gave us a special gift at the end of the tour. He had lots of interesting facts about the blue house, and also knew all about the best photo areas. I would recommend to go on the Blue House Tour with him!

This was an awesome tour of the Blue house. Jungho was the perfect tour guide and made the experience very memorable. His knowledge of the Blue house made it very interesting and his enthusiasmn made it easy to follow along.
