De Plaza de la Constitución ligt in het centrum van onze historische stad. De ruggengraat van de stad, St. George Street in St. Augustine, is een verkeersvrije straat met restaurants, winkels en bezienswaardigheden en ondergedompeld in de geschiedenis.
De St. Photios Grieks-orthodoxe Nationale Heiligdom, is gewijd aan de eerste kolonie van Griekse, Italiaanse en Minorcaanse volkeren die in 1768 naar New Smyrna kwamen. De Shrine bestaat uit tentoonstellingen die het leven van deze mediterrane immigranten in Florida en hun aankomst in St. Augustine in 1777 weergeven.
Het voormalige Ponce de Leon Hotel was een exclusief luxehotel in St. Augustine, Florida, gebouwd door miljonairontwikkelaar en medeoprichter van Standard Oil, Henry M. Flagler en voltooid in 1888. Het hotel is ontworpen in de Spaanse renaissancestijl als de eerste grote project van het New Yorkse architectenbureau Carrère & Hastings, dat wereldberoemd zou worden.

The tour with Amy was fantastic! She was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. She did a great job giving us chronological context and was able to answer all of our questions. It was also pretty hot and she was sensitive to that by getting us in the shade whenever possible. It felt like she really loved sharing her city.
It is a great tour. I learned so much. I recommend that you go back to that places that interested you and do their separate tours, so the info sticks in your memory! Oh, take your water, it is really hot!

What an amazing experience! I learned so much about historic St. Augustine - from the influence of the Spanish, French, and British to Henry Flager’s many contributions to St. Augustine’s place in our nation’s civil rights story. Russ was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, patient, and funny! We would love to sign up again. I highly recommend this amazing experience. I now look at St. Augustine with new eyes.

My wife and I had a fantastic time on the St. Augustine History waking tour! Our guide Evan was very informative. As an anthropology graduate from Flagler College, right at historic St. Augustine, he was passionate about the area history and shared many interesting facts. Evan also shared info on his favorite eateries- there are so many! We would recommend this about 1.5 hour tour to anyone! Good idea to do it very early during your stay to get ideas for the remainder of your trip! Also early in the morning for good parking choices and lower temperatures! Cheers! Bob & Annette
