This was an amazing experience, I was hesitant to go to Hiroshima as I wasn’t sure it was the right thing to do but once we met Moe, everything changed. Moe is the granddaughter of 3 surviving grandparents who lived in Hiroshima at the time of the bombing, she was able to give first hand information as to what it was like living through such a traumatic event. She has great communication skills and showed us all around the site and museum in 2 hours. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan who would like to pay their respects to a beautiful city. Thanks again Moe 😊
Thanks for sharing this! We're so glad Moe helped turn that hesitation into such a meaningful experience. Her family connection to Hiroshima's history brings something truly unique that you won't find anywhere else. We appreciate the kind words and recommendation!
Cva was extremely knowledgeable and impressive about the tour topics. We all learned a lot. The one thing I will say is that there wasn’t a ton of sensitivity while discussing sensitive subjects to a broad audience. We were all there to learn and understand that this approach was direct and straightforward, just know that you will hear about the horrors of war and the aftermath of the nuclear bomb with a lot of context and very little nuance.
Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. We're glad Cva's knowledge and depth left an impact. We appreciate your note about tone and sensitivity, and we'll take that on board. It's valuable feedback that helps us improve. Thank you for sharing.
Very enjoyable tour! You move along to various stops and hear the history of what and why. At a good pace, not to quick, not too slow, there is a fair amount of ground to cover. Cva was fantastic, great knowledge and presented it matter-of-factly, without bias and neutrally, the history of the situation. He engaged with the group, answering questions when asked, careful to keep judgment and emotion from the participants in check. Thank you Cva! It was an emotional experience, for it was a horrible thing that happened.
Thanks for this. Appreciate how you recognized Cva's approach to such a sensitive topic. That balance and professionalism are exactly what we aim for. Hope to see you again!
We had an amazing tour with Kiyoshi! The tour was very interesting. Without Kiyoshi, we wouldn't have learned so much about Hiroshima and its history.
Thanks so much! So glad the tour was amazing and you learned so much about Hiroshima. Hope to see you again!
This was an exceptional tour. Cva is extremely knowledgeable and we learnt so much from him. We highly recommend doing this instead of walking around on your own. As Cva said … you don’t need to read everything, because that’s what he’s for.
Thank you! We're so pleased Cva delivered that exceptional knowledge and perspective. His philosophy that you don't need to read plaques when you have a true expert speaks volumes. That's exactly what makes a great guide. We're grateful for your recommendation.
This walking tour was very informative! Our tour guide “Nisa” was excellent in explaining the history of the relationship between US and Japan. She explained the events leading to the A-bomb, the effects, the resiliency and the restoration efforts of the people in Hiroshima. If you’re visiting in June be aware of the heat. Bring water and a sun umbrella. There’s a cafe within the region to get drinks and snacks/lunch. There lots of restaurants in the area for after the tour. Loved this tour and a must do!
Thank you for this detailed review! We're thrilled Nisa was able to present such a complete picture of Hiroshima's history, from the difficult events to the remarkable resilience and restoration. Your thoughtful tips for other visitors are appreciated too. We're happy you loved the tour.
Nisa was very warm and engaging. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She took into account the heat and made sure we had plenty of shade
Thank you! We're pleased Nisa delivered both the knowledge and the attentiveness that made your experience comfortable and enriching. That kind of care for our guests is what we value. We're grateful for your kind words.
Cva was a very informative and knowledgeable guide. Our Historical tour of Hiroshima was excellent. He gave us a lots of truly interesting facts and made us feel the true Horror of the A bomb dropped on Hiroshima !!
Thank you! We appreciate that Cva could bring the history to life so meaningfully. His ability to convey both the facts and the human impact is what makes the tour powerful. We're grateful you took the time to share this feedback.
Excellent knowledge guide who gave a clear and concise history of Japan leading up to WW2. Well worth the experience.
Thank you! We're so happy our guide was able to provide that clear historical context leading up to WW2. Making complex history accessible is what we aim for. We're thrilled you found it worthwhile!
Cva gave us a wonderful historical background as well as so much interesting detail about the A - bomb in Hiroshima at the time and its ongoing effect on life now . Loved his message of ongoing peace
