De tour is leuk en tegelijkertijd zo informatief. Het is een geweldige kans om de echte geschiedenis van Rome te begrijpen en te leren, maar ook met een blik op het normale leven van de Romeinen vandaag. Deze halte mag je niet missen! De beroemdste en belangrijkste fontein ter wereld wacht op je wens en je munt. Onze chauffeursgids geeft u alle geschiedenis, beantwoordt uw vragen en stelt u in staat voldoende tijd door te brengen om van de site te genieten.
Waarschijnlijk het best bewaarde Romeinse bouwwerk ter wereld. 1900 jaar oud en nog in perfecte staat. Na de uitleg van je chauffeursgids heb je tijd om rond te lopen op de site voor meer foto's en als je meer vragen wilt. Mis het graf van Raphael niet!
We stoppen bovenaan de trap en net als in de film Roman Holidays kun je de trap aflopen en genieten van de omgeving met alle fantastische winkels van de Via dei Condotti.
Dit is een van de belangrijkste pleinen van de stad, rijk aan geschiedenis, we besteden meestal wat meer tijd aan dit unieke plein. Als de tijd het toelaat, nemen we graag mensen mee naar de beroemde kerk van Santa Maria del Popolo om de schilderijen van Caravaggio te zien.
Dit is een ritje rond de site, maar als je wilt stoppen en wat foto's maken bij het graf van de eerste keizer van Rome, Cesaer Octavianus Augustus.
Een paar minuten stoppen op het Sint-Pietersplein is een must. De plaats waar Petrus werd gekruisigd, het centrum van de rooms-katholieke kerk. Onze chauffeursgids wijst u graag op de belangrijkste details van het plein en beantwoordt al uw vragen.
Dit is het mooiste uitzicht van de hele stad. De Gianicolo-heuvel is de 8-heuvel van Rome beroemd om het standbeeld van Garibaldi en het kanon dat elke dag om 12.00 uur afvuurt zodat elke klokkentoren in de stad op tijd kan luiden.

In deze gebieden vond 2000 jaar geleden de markt voor meet plaats. De twee best bewaarde tempels van Rome bevinden zich hier, Tempio di Ercole en Tempio di Portuno. We maken graag een korte stop bij de beroemde Mouth of the Truth.
270.000 mensen dit was de capaciteit van dit gigantische circus dat meer dan 2000 jaar geleden werd gebouwd. Het Circus Maximus was de plek waar de wagenrennen plaatsvonden, net als in de film van Ben Hur. We hebben tijd om te stoppen, te verkennen en antwoorden te krijgen van uw chauffeursgids.
De Aventino-heuvel is een van de 7 heuvels van Rome, beroemd om het sleutelgat, maar wordt ook beschouwd als het gebied waar tegenwoordig rijke mensen wonen.
Piazza Venezia is het centrum van Rome. We zullen een paar keer rond dit plein rijden en je hebt de tijd om foto's te maken en te genieten van de geschiedenis van dit plein waar Mussolini 50.000 fascisten ontving tijdens zijn toespraken.

Christiano did a great job of making sure we saw everything we had not seen so far! He showed us the best places to take pictures and where to shop/eat.
Roberto was our guide for this split tour--he handled the half-day driving tour. I wish it had been communicated to us in advance that the itinerary was customizable as Roberto alternately chided me for not telling him in advance that we wanted to see some sights not listed on the website's itinerary (the Trevi Fountain), and then decided to skip a listed stop I'd already told him was important to me (the Spanish Steps) because he thought it was close enough to our hotel that we should just walk there instead the next day. Instead he clearly wanted to avoid traffic in the more congested areas and started taking us outside the city walls to multiple sights not on the itinerary. We had no objection to seeing those things, but he was visibly annoyed when I insisted that we double back to the Spanish Steps since our itinerary for the rest of our days in Rome was pretty packed. We've taken many guided tours both with just our family and with larger groups, and I can't say I've ever experienced a guide not following the published itinerary without explicitly checking with the guests ahead of time to make sure we were okay with changes.
Buongiorno, we are so sorry the tour was not the way you planned, Rome is a busy city and sometimes traffic, strikes or other events out of our control may create issues to a normal flow of the itinerary planned but we have to be quick in those cases and able to offer our customers alternatives that can satisfy the client and don't overlap other itineraries like in your case, this is the reason why Roberto suggested the Ancient Roman walls, the Appian Way and the Catacombs. The option in having a van is also to take advantage and enjoy sites that are not that easy to reach on foot and we always love to give options to our customers. We are sorry that this flexibility was misunderstood and Roberto was very sorry too for that and he did apologize. Best Regards
During our approx. one week in Rome, we booked all of our tours each day with Miles & Miles, and we'd highly recommend others do the same (instead of booking tours with different companies). Their entire team worked together to make our tours easy, efficient, and of very high quality. We told them what we were generally interested in seeing during the week, and Miles & Miles took care of the rest. They gladly modified tour itineraries to make sure we didn't see the same things twice within the different tours on different days, they altered pick-up points, drop-off points, and tour times to make it easier and more efficient or us to go from one tour to the next, and the dinner recommendations provided by Roberto in Rome and Florence were outstanding! The high quality of tours & great recommendations combined with great coordination & flexibility on their part made this an excellent vacation for our family of four!

We experienced the full day History and Fun Tour -- wonderful time with Francesco. He took us throughout Rome as well as the area he grew up - stopped for cappuccino at a shop where he would get the drink almost every day on the way to school. Went into the countryside and had a wonderful time having wine, cheese and meat at one of his best friend's restaurant - saw the wine cellar - fabulous. Would recommend this tour to anyone

Not enough good things to say about Miles and Miles. On time, friendly, knowledgeable, etc.., you get the idea. Based on Rick Steve’s recommendation we used M&M for airport transfers and a city tour. The day touring Rome with M&M was the highlight of our 17 day trip. Christian and Roberto showed us their Rome. It was incredible as we saw areas we never would have found on our own. And the history we learned about was amazing. Roberto recommended a locally owned Tratoria for us to have lunch at and it was fabulous!!!! When in Rome, rely on miles and Miles to make your trip extra special.

We had a few days in Rome before a cruise and needed to make the most use of our time. Roberto drove us to the highlights in a way that avoided the crowds and provided a history lesson that was memorable. Being able to walk the Appian Way was wonderful. We mentioned that we would have liked to see the Pantheon but the lines were too long. Roberto got us passes for after the tour, with only a five minute wait. He was terrific and highly recommended.
