We wandelen door de eeuwenoude poorten (Bab El Ain & Bab Souk) het hart van de blauwe stad in. Als uw Gids zal ik u leiden door de levendige steegjes, het Andalusisch geïnspireerde plein El Haouta en verschillende historische wijken zoals de Joodse wijk (El Mellah) en de Moslimwijk. We stoppen bij traditionele gemeenschappelijke ovens om meer te leren over het lokale Marokkaanse dagelijkse leven, gemeenschapsbanden en de rijke geschiedenis van religieuze co-existentie van de stad.
We wandelen door het levendige centrale plein van Chefchaouen, omzoomd met cafés en de prachtige muren van de Kasbah. Het is het bruisende centrum van de stad en een geweldige plek om te genieten van de lokale sfeer.
We zullen stoppen om de prachtige buitenkant van dit 15e-eeuwse fort gelegen op het centrale plein te bewonderen. Ik zal de fascinerende geschiedenis van de Kasbah delen, waarbij ik de defensieve oorsprong tegen Portugese invasies en de cruciale rol in de oprichting van Chefchaouen zal uitleggen. (Opmerking : We bekijken alleen de indrukwekkende buitenkant en architectuur; we gaan niet naar binnen, dus geen tickets nodig.)
We stappen net buiten de medinamuren om de vitale waterbron van de stad te ontdekken. Hier kunt u luisteren naar het rustgevende geluid van stromend water, de lokale bevolking observeren die zich traditioneel verzamelt en leren over het cruciale belang van de bron voor de oprichters van Chefchaouen.
Om onze middag af te sluiten, maken we een zachte wandeling van 20 minuten de heuvel op naar deze historische moskee. Vanaf een hoog uitkijkpunt beloont het ons met een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht over de hele blauwe stad. Het is de absoluut perfecte plek om foto's te nemen en te kijken naar de prachtige middag licht deken de medina.

Everything was fantastic the medina and the guide.
Zoubir is fantastic! He loves his city and showing it to people and you can tell this from the very first minute. In addition, he is gentil, kind heart, easy going and he knows a lot about history and culture of Chefchaouen and Morocco. Also he will show you the best spots. Definitely our afternoon wouldn't be that great without him. We are very grateful for having known him!
