Diepe, duistere geheimen over een vergeten verleden liggen tussen de verzorgde tuinen en Victoriaanse rijtjeshuizen van de mooiste wijk van DC. Historische figuren verbleven hier en documenteerden hun ervaringen in brieven en dagboeken. Sommigen zijn nooit weggegaan en achtervolgen deze grote huizen tot op de dag van vandaag. Tijdens deze gezinsvriendelijke nachtelijke tour leer je over deze stad en laat je betoverd worden door het verleden, het heden en de toekomst. Halloween-sfeer het hele jaar door. -Luister naar verhalen over een jonge jongen die na zijn accidentele dood vastzit in de oudste woning in DC. - Ontdek wat er is gebeurd in ziekenhuizen uit de burgeroorlog waardoor een appartement onleefbaar lijkt. -Leer meer over de vloek van de zoon van Abraham Lincoln. -Hoor een verhaal over de eeuwige liefde van een oppas voor haar taken en haar regels. -Zie de lichten flikkeren in een huis waarvan de vorige bewoner een hekel had aan elektriciteit en wiens geest onze gidsen achtervolgt. -Beëindig de tour bij de beroemde Exorcist Steps en hoor hoe deze film gebaseerd is op een waargebeurd lokaal verhaal. Waarom zal niemand lang in deze appartementen wonen? Zou het gebouw herinneringen kunnen bevatten aan de tijd dat dit een ziekenhuis uit de burgeroorlog was, vol gekreun en verlies?
Loop door de griezelige straten tijdens een nachtelijke wandeling en praat over de echte (of zo waar als de Victoriaanse bewoners geloofden) verhalen over griezelige vloeken, spookhuizen en het macabere (maar nog steeds gezinsvriendelijk!). Het hele jaar door een Halloween-sfeer.
We lopen langs de oude "hoofdstraat" - wat ooit een Indiaanse handelsweg was en nu de thuisbasis is van de restaurants en winkels in de buurt.
Het is een echt spookhuis - we hebben de geest gezien van een al lang verdwenen bewoner die weigerde zijn levenswerk achter te laten in dit 18e-eeuwse huis.
Zie 's nachts de spookachtige donkere torenspitsen van de campus terwijl we door de geplaveide straten lopen.

Can't recommend the tour guide Ingeborg enough. She was very knowledgeable about the area and history associated with it. Tour was fun and informative.
Georgia was our tour guide for Ghosts of Georgetown. She was fantastic, and really made sure the entire group was included. The area has some hills/uneven terrain and she ensured all ages were able to participate. Really fantastic tour guide and I enjoy how she highlighted Georgetown and ensured to set the scene for the area. A fan favorite of my family to experience Georgetown!

This was such a fun and interesting tour! Sonja was our guide and she was amazing, full of facts and stories, super engaging with the group. We went on the tour with our 4 teenagers and they couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. Definitely a must do!

Truly one of the best ghost tours I've ever experienced! It's very historical and intriguing without being theatrical and hokey. Wayne was so knowledgeable and charismatic, and his photos that augmented the tour really added to the experience. The tour is very walkable and you pass some of the most gorgeous Georgetown homes along the way. I would highly recommend it, and I would even do the same tour again!

Our guide Sonia was great! Dad jokes, great story telling and some history really made the tour perfect. The 1.5 hours flew by and is about the right time, even though it didn't feel long at all. It was a group of about 15 of us and there were no issues in hearing the guide or us moving as a group which surprised me. Not a scary tour, but interesting filled with cool Georgetown history and architecture with some ghost stories blended in. Good for kids and adults.
