De Charquini Emerald Lagoon is een waar visueel paradijs, met turquoise en smaragdgroene wateren waar je de kans krijgt om geweldige beelden van de lagune en zijn omgeving vast te leggen, blijvende visuele herinneringen te creëren en de schoonheid van Charquini met anderen te delen. Deze opwindende en lonende wandeling door adembenemende landschappen biedt je de mogelijkheid om obstakels te overwinnen, je uithoudingsvermogen op te bouwen en te genieten van de persoonlijke voldoening van het bereiken van een doel.

Vanaf het tweede ophaalpunt naar de winkel is het 30 minuten reizen. Hier kun je zien hoe we de stad verlaten en een deel van de snelweg oversteken.
Dit is je kans om last-minute essentiële benodigdheden te bemachtigen, of het nu gaat om water, koekjes, etc. om te wandelen.
Van de winkel naar onze eerste stop hebben we ongeveer 30 minuten, een stop om wat uitleg en foto's te geven bij het uitkijkpunt "Jilarata". Deze plaats biedt ons een panoramisch uitzicht op twee belangrijke bergen in de regio: Huayna Potosí en Chacaltaya. Daarvoor blijven we hier maximaal 20 minuten.
Na ongeveer 30 minuten reizen gaan we verder met het tweede punt: de Milluni-begraafplaats. we krijgen korte historische informatie over de reden en oorsprong van de begraafplaats. Dan hebben we tijd voor meer foto's van dit zeer nabije punt van de Huayna Potosí-berg.
Na een reis van 30 minuten kwamen we aan bij het Charquini Base Camp, waar we begonnen aan een spannende wandeling door een paradijs voor natuurliefhebbers, en na een wandeling van een uur tot anderhalf uur kwamen we aan bij de Charquini-lagune. Je hebt deze pauze verdiend! Ontspan ongeveer een uur aan de lagune, maak Instagramwaardige foto's of adem gewoon de frisse lucht in. Daarna lopen we ongeveer 40 minuten terug naar het basiskamp en dalen we af, en elke stap zal het bevredigende hoogtepunt weerspiegelen van een goed geleefd avontuur
We waren allemaal weer klaar in het basiskamp en gingen aan boord voor de terugkeer naar La Paz. Na anderhalf uur reizen komen we aan in het centrale deel van La Paz en zorgen we ervoor dat je veilig terugkeert naar je centrale hotels, terwijl we afscheid van je nemen, totdat je volgende avontuur arriveert.

Giovana was an exceptional guide. Even before the tour began, she showed a genuine willingness to help by coming directly to our location. The itinerary was well-structured, and we appreciated being able to hike at our own pace. The lake was absolutely worth the effort!
We did the Charquini Lagoon tour and it was absolutely incredible!! Our guide Gio was so kind, encouraging and enthusiastic and spoke brilliant English and Spanish to explain everything in great detail. The trek is ever so slightly challenging due to the altitude but Gio was extremely patient and made sure everyone in the group was seen and safe! The view of the lagoon is just mind blowing, we were unsure if we were going to book this tour originally but are so so glad we did! A great day!
A unique experience, the emerald color of the lagoon is beautiful, the day I went down, snow and thunder fell that gave a different and beautiful magic to the landscape

This was a great full day activity that shows views starting with the drive up to the hike. Our tour guide was friendly and professional, very patient with hikers of all places and knew lots about the history of the area. The hike is not steep but the altitude definitely is tough on travelers but this is very doable!

Punctual, they come to pick you up from the hotel with a bus and Pati is there to welcome you right away. A unique person! In addition to being nice and knowing great English, she tells you what you will do during the day and gives you great tips about La Paz, Bolivia and any information you want to know. The trip is very nice .. there are a couple of stops for spectacular photos and then there is the walk that is just under 2km with very little difference in altitude but really worth it! 5000m is not every day.. Pati leads you calmly, at your own pace, takes all the photos you want and also delivers you a mini lunch consisting of juice sandwich and biscuit Super recommended!
Great tour and Gio was an amazing bilingual guide. The hike was pretty short (about 1:15h with lots of breaks and at a very slow pace) but still a bit exhausting at this altitude. However Gio made sure everyone was feeling ok throughout the way up and the driver also provided some walking sticks.
What an incredible experience. Tough climb for someone like me but our guide was so encouraging and supportive, without her I would not have made it. I would recommend this company to everyone.
