Gedeelde boottocht met verzonken stad Kekova inclusief lunch. Een van de meest opwindende boottochten is om de gezonken stad Kekova te bezoeken. Een vreselijke aardbeving in de 2e eeuw na Christus veroorzaakte een neerwaartse verschuiving van het land en dompelde de oude huizen onder water. Je reist met ons voertuig naar het dorp Ucagiz en neemt vervolgens een boot naar het Kekova-gebied, waar je de overblijfselen van de oude stad kunt zien. De oude Lycische verzonken stad Simena wordt vaak Kekova-Simena genoemd. De stad is een charmante mix van oude, middeleeuwse en moderne geschiedenis waardoor het zowel interessant als mooi is. De dag begint met een rit naar het dorp Üçağız vanuit ons kantoor in het centrum van Kas om aan boord te gaan van de boot, die vervolgens zal stoppen voor een duik in Aquariumbaai.

VERTREK : 9:30 RETOUR: 18.00 Gedeelde boottocht door de verzonken stad in Kekova - vanuit de haven van Kas inclusief lunch aan boord, start rond 10:00 uur vanaf ons Larsoy Travel and Tourism Office in het centrum van Kas. Breng een dag op het water door met onze gloednieuwe 24 meter lange traditionele houten boot, ontspan in de zon, zwem in de verfrissende zee en ervaar ontzagwekkende oude ruïnes, allemaal vanuit het comfort van onze boot. Onze ervaren kapitein zal ons naar de beste zwemplekken van de regio leiden en onderweg interessante informatie delen. We verkennen het schilderachtige dorpje Kalekoy en fotograferen de verzonken stad Kekova, allemaal met de energie van een heerlijke lunch en de warme mediterrane zon.
We stappen aan boord van de boot en gaan op weg door de kalme wateren richting Kekova. Je krijgt drankjes aangeboden in de zon terwijl we onze schilderachtige 1,5 uur durende tocht vervolgen naar onze eerste stop, Inonu Bay, waar je kans moet maken om te zwemmen
Bij het naderen van Kekova is onze tweede stop de toepasselijke naam 'Aquarium Bay'. Duik in het kristalheldere water en zwem tussen het kleurrijke zeeleven terwijl we je smakelijke lunch bereiden van gebarbecued kip en een verscheidenheid aan Turkse salades en hapjes.
Na de lunch gaan we verder naar 'Tersane', de locatie van een oude scheepswerf. Vanaf hier zul je meer en meer ondergedompeld raken in de geschiedenis terwijl we cruise over de beroemde gezonken stad, een Lycische stad die onder water is achtergelaten door aardbevingen in de 2e eeuw na Christus. We nemen veel foto's van deze verzonken stenen ruïnes die glinsteren in het water voordat we naar Kalekoy gaan.

Kalekoy dorp, alleen bereikbaar per boot of te voet, werd gebouwd op de top van en tussen de ruïnes van de oude stad Simena. Je hebt hier een uur vrije tijd om de winkels langs de smalle straatjes te verkennen, naar de top van het kasteel te lopen, de Lycische sarcofagen te fotograferen, of gewoon te genieten van wat zelfgemaakt ijs aan zee.

Look no further than a day on the water with Kaptan Ergun Cruises. You’ll get excellent commentary, delicious and fresh food and you are in safe and friendly hands. The staff were very good, all under the guidance of the owner/operator. Lunch is served at your seat with two choices (chicken or fish), freshly prepared on board with various beautiful salads. Then later in the afternoon baklava and Turkish tea. We sat up top, which meant fresh air and fantastic views, just remember to pack a jacket in case the wind comes up. Pack your swimming togs too because there are several opportunities to take a swim in the beautiful water. All up, great value for approx 8 hours on the water.
What a pleasurable day we had on our Kaptan Ergun boat cruise. It was a full day of exploring the area, departing from Kas at 9.30am, returning around 6pm. The crew were very professional, gave interesting commentary in English and Turkish and safety of us all was clearly paramount. We were given a really lovely lunch which included various fresh salads and a choice of freshly cooked (and still hot) fish or chicken, served personally to every guest at the seat. Then later in the day beautiful baklava and Turkish tea. We were given plenty of time to swim at various locations, as well as a stop off at Kekova to visit Kale Castle. It was an excellent day and well worth the money we paid.
It was a wonderful tour, a great captain, a great crew, especially lunch which was more delicious than I expected, we had all kinds of cold drinks and transportation, and the villages we visited were all beautiful in their own way. A very convenient location for boat tours.

Really enjoyed this tour, Kaptan Ergun and his crew did a fantastic job. We were taken to some lovely sheltered spots for a swim in turquoise waters and sailed by the Sunken City with commentary. We also had a stop at Kale Kastle were we were given free time to go ashore and explore. The boat is extremely well maintained and clean. Lunch was provided and you are able to purchase drinks on board at very reasonable prices. Value for money and a great day out. Would highly recommend.
