Gdansk Watchmaker's Curse : Mysteriewandeling op eigen houtje

Los een self-guided mysterie wandeling door Gdansk jagen negen vervloekte klokken. De klokkenmaker Hans Düringer vervloekte de uurwerken van Gdansk nadat de stad hem verblindde. De voorspelling zegt dat je de vloek kunt opheffen, maar alleen als je elke verborgen klok vindt die hij saboteerde. Gebruik de Questo-app op je telefoon om het pad te volgen langs 15 echte bezienswaardigheden van Gdansk: de Mariabasiliek, het stadhuis, de Gdanskkraan, de Johanneskerk, de toren van St. Catherine en het uitkijkpunt van de Gradowa-berg. Los raadsels op, ontcijfer codes en ontmoet onderweg Napoleon, Daniel Fahrenheit en John Hevelius. Elk hoofdstuk heeft zijn eigen puzzel en een stukje geschiedenis van Gdansk, van de 14e-eeuwse Kraanvogel tot het carillon uit 1561. Start wanneer u maar wilt, pauzeer wanneer u maar wilt en ga verder waar u gebleven bent. Dit is een langere tocht dan de meeste : houd rekening met ongeveer 3 uur voor de volledige route van 3,8 km. Perfect voor geschiedenisfans, terugkerende bezoekers van Gdansk en iedereen die de stad door een verhaal wil zien.

What a fantastic, fun and educational way to experience Gdansk! We saw things we would never have seen without this adventure. We chose and spent the whole day, with lunch and dinner along the way, a small 'siesta in the afternoon. We went through small shops along the way, and found small treasures that are not so "mainstream". We also found an intimate, cosy vegan cafe, Manna 68, which was selected as #1 of 700 in the Gdansk area. I recommend you try their chocolate mousse along with a cup of Americano. It is powerful, so perfect for sharing. Last stage we took in the evening, which we do not regret. Last post was worth the whole trip. Recommend and pay via the app, we had some problems via Tripadvisor. 5 out of 5!

Very easy to follow route. Interesting facts about city sights are provided. Clues were generally easy enough to answer. There was just one that I could not get, even after getting answer from app. Also could not get answer into one question - app would not allow, even though correct. However, I was brought to places I would not otherwise have found on my own. Be prepared to go that extra mile or two for the final two clues. Overall a good way to pass a few hours at a reasonable price.
