Dompel ons onder in boeiende legendes uit het verleden die je overal in de stad kunt zien als je ze eenmaal kent. Begrijpen hoe architecten als Gaudí door hen werden geïnspireerd en een blijvende impact op Barcelona hebben achtergelaten. Waarom staat er een draak op het dak? Waarom was een bat beslissend in een veldslag? Waar is het huis van botten? Wat is de legende achter de Catalaanse vlag? Hoe zet je dit in de context van de huidige onafhankelijkheidsbeweging? Tijdens de twee uur durende wandeling leggen we de verbinding van de middeleeuwse Catalaanse geschiedenis en legendes naar wat Gaudí en andere architecten inspireerde bij het ontwerpen van de residentiële gebouwen langs de grote boulevard van de Passeig de Gracia. Van straatverharding tot lantaarnpalen - allemaal met een verhaal dat we je willen vertellen! Als je van geschiedenis houdt die door gepassioneerde verhalenvertellers tot leven is gebracht en je wilt genieten van de intimiteit van een kleine groep, dan is dit je ervaring. Na deze twee uur ontdek je details die je nog niet eerder hebt opgemerkt. Zie de stad met andere ogen!

Leer alles over de geschiedenis en de façade van dit prachtige gebouw ontworpen door Gaudí. Het was zijn laatste openbare gebouw voordat hij de rest van zijn leven wijdde aan de bouw van de kerk van Sagrada Familia.
We zullen langs de grote boulevard van de Passeig de Gracia lopen. Van straatverharding tot lantaarnpalen - allemaal met een verhaal dat we je willen vertellen!
Zeker een van Gaudi's meesterwerken in Barcelona. We zullen de buitengevel en de ingenieuze creativiteit van Gaudi toelichten bij het ontwerpen van dit gebouw.
Casa Amatller is voor ons een van de meest fascinerende modernistische gebouwen in Barcelona. Veel gasten besteden er niet veel aandacht aan, maar we zijn er zeker van dat we u net zo enthousiast kunnen maken als wij wanneer u de geschiedenis en architectuur ervan hebt geleerd.
Casa Morera is een prachtig voorbeeld van modernistisch vakmanschap, ontworpen door Lluís Domènech I Montaner. Verborgen achter de talloze bloemenversieringen wijzen we je op een hoogst verrassend detail!
We passeren Plaça Catalunya - die de nieuwe stad, Eixample, verbindt met de oude stad.
We zullen het modernistische kunstcafé zien dat net zo belangrijk was voor Barcelona als de kunstcafés in Parijs. Picasso kwam hier net als Gaudí.
De beroemde concertzaal is een juweel van modernistische architectuur. We zullen de prachtige buitengevel met zijn vele details toelichten en ook een kijkje nemen in de prachtige lobby.
We zullen de buurt verkennen en verwijzingen ontdekken naar de legendes waarvan we tijdens de tour hebben gehoord.

Michael was our very professional and respectful guide. We started in front of La Pedrera. There, and at every building we visited, he told us very interesting stories, both architectural and historical, with colorful commentary illustrating the anecdotes behind each building, popular streets, and even lampposts. It was a very unique tour to meet Barcelona's most famous architects, beyond the master Gaudí. The two hours flew by without us even noticing, despite the heat. He was a pleasure to work with.

This was a wonderful walking tour! Christian had many interesting stories, insights, and tidbits about the architecture and architects as well the culture of Barcelona. He kept a great pace, and our family (including two teens) found it very interesting and a great use of time in the city.

Excellent walking tour with Michael as our guide. We were able to learn more about the history of Barcelona, Gaudí and other architects that designed interesting buildings. Michael kept us involved in the tour by asking us questions about what we saw in buildings. Our tour was casual, like walking with a friend. Definitely would recommend.

We had an amazing experience walking around Barcelona admiring the beautiful architecture of Barcelona, the rich history of Barcelona and learning about the stories of the architects and how they created these masterpieces.
