Garden of the Gods is een populaire toeristische attractie in Colorado Springs, Colorado, bekend om zijn prachtige rode rotsformaties die lijken op oude kastelen en torenspitsen. Het eerste dat je moet weten is dat de twee kamelen niet echt twee verschillende rotsen zijn. Ooit zagen ze er niet anders uit dan de rest van deze rotswand. Maar er zat een kleine scheur in één laag van de zandsteen. Een scheurtje zo klein dat het vrijwel onzichtbaar was.
De Central Gardens is een gemakkelijke route van twee mijl door het hart van de Garden of the Gods. Het is een uitstekende kennismaking met deze fantastische plek en geeft ons de kans enkele van de beroemdste formaties in het park te zien. Opmerking: deze 10,5 mijl lange tour behandelt de essentie van Garden of the Gods in 1-2 uur.
De Siamese Twins Trail ligt verderop aan onze rechterkant. Dit kilometerslange pad duurt ongeveer 20 minuten en beschikt over twee verbazingwekkende rotsachtige torenspitsen. Als u het pad wilt wandelen, slaat u rechtsaf de parkeerplaats op.
Vanaf hier is het onmogelijk om Balanced Rock te missen. Deze enorme formatie lijkt onmogelijk op een platform van rood zandsteen te balanceren. Dus hoe doet het het? Ondanks de naam en het uiterlijk is deze steen eigenlijk niet in evenwicht. Het maakt allemaal deel uit van één formatie!
De Giant Footprints zien eruit als een andere rotsformatie, maar er klopt iets niet. Letterlijk! Normaal gesproken zijn de rotslagen horizontaal, zoals bij een lasagne. Maar hier zijn ze diagonaal en wijzen ze in een hoek van 45 graden. Het is alsof een reus op een losse vloerplank stapt.
South Gateway Rock, die we eerder passeerden. Merk je al die kleine pokdalletjes op? Deze wijzen eigenlijk op een van de meer uitdagende kenmerken van het beklimmen van dit soort zandsteen.

This review is late due to an extremely busy few months. This is a great app to download and to use as you walk around the Garden of the Gods. It gives you a detailed description of the area you are looking at. I would recommend bringing ear pods for better hearing as the area can be a little noisy with everyone walking around. Also water and dogs are welcome. If I remember correctly the app is accessible for a year from the date downloaded. Definitely would use it again.

Unable to download while at Garden of the Gods. A dismal failure! Very disappointed. A complete waste of money. I am so upset about the experience. Ruined the day. Would not recommend to anyone! A scam!

Couldn’t get app to work. Can I get my money back? Please, Garden of the Gods is free to go through. I didn’t really need the audio tour and since it didn’t work I’d like my money refunded.

However, the audio guide is the only service we provide for the Garden of the Gods. Our support hours are 9–6 EST, and our products are valid for one year, providing you with ample time to use them or request a replacement/refund if needed.
My husband and I traveled to Aurora and had a list of things we wanted to check out, but we aren’t the greatest planners. This app was easy to use, provided directions to tour starting point and walked us through every detail. It made our traveling more enjoyable.

User friendly. We made sure everything was downloaded prior to the tour. We used CarPlay in the vehicle and air pods for the hikes. We enjoyed the information and history provided by the audio guide.
