Galle/Mirissa/Tangalle: transfer naar Ella & Yala/Udawalawa Safari

Nadat je bent opgehaald bij je hotel in de gebieden Tangalle/Hiriketiya/Matara/Mirissa/Weligama/Unawatuna/Galle of Hikkaduwa, ga je naar Udawalawe of Yala National Park, waar je overschakelt naar een open safari-jeep om het beste te hebben keer bekeken. Een vroege ochtend- of middagstart zorgt ervoor dat u de dieren kunt zien tijdens een van hun meest actieve uren van de dag, 's morgens of' s avonds. Zie zeker luipaarden, kuddes olifanten en veel plezier met het kijken naar krokodillen, apen, waterbuffels, verschillende endemische vogelsoorten en nog veel meer. Onderweg leer je de natuurlijke habitats van de plaatselijke fauna kennen en observeren, terwijl je een aantal fantastische foto's maakt. In de ochtend of middag, een safari-avontuur van 3 uur, stapt u terug in de comfortabele auto met airconditioning voor de rit naar Ella, waar u wordt afgezet bij uw hotel.

Udawalawe National Park is een nationaal park op de grens van de provincies Sabaragamuwa en Uva in Sri Lanka. Het park is aangelegd om een toevluchtsoord te bieden voor wilde dieren die zijn verdreven door de bouw van het Udawalawe Reservoir aan de Walawe-rivier, en om het stroomgebied van het stuwmeer te beschermen. Het reservaat beslaat 30.821 hectare (119,00 vierkante mijl) landoppervlak en werd opgericht op 30 juni 1972.

We had a great time on the safari and saw a ton of animals. Sasanka was a great guide while navigating the park. We saw tons of animals including a Leopard. My only negative about this tour is that they picked us up just over an hour late because they were picking up all the other people first and ran behind. Things happen, was just a little frustrating when it’s such an early pick up at 3:30am. But otherwise I do suggest this tour. Was a great day spend. Oh I suggest picking up snacks though! It’s a long day without anything to eat.
It was such a great experience! Even though we didn’t see any leopards the tour was still such a fun time, our guide Sasanka was so knowledgeable and great at spotting animals in the safari that we never would have. The transfer too was such a great aspect, made the day run so smoothly. Thank you!
The transfer was easy, and the van was great! The safari was amazing! Sasanka was great, and made sure we saw a variety of wildlife. Would recommend! Such a good price and experience!
The driver Janaka did a good job and the safari was nice. We see many different animals. Elefants, Leopards, crocodiles, many birds, and much more, I could recommend it.
We did heaps of research and numbers to decide what was the best, safest and cheapest option to transfer around Sri Lanka. We needed multiple transfers from Galle to Tangelle, Tangelle to Ella, Hatton to Kandy, Kandy to Sirigiya, Sirigiya to Trincomalee and Trincomalee to the airport. Most people get talked into having your own driver to "do the circuit". You don't need them many days but you are paying for them just to hang around and honestly any local tours you want, they vehicles are too big and tuks are the best way to go (cost and convenience). We saved heaps. We used a combination of a worldwide online company (Daytrips) who we had used in Europe and locals sourced from the hotels (at each end of our journey) or hotel drivers. We got a range of quotes from all on each leg (not a hard thing in SL as everybody is doing it) so we knew the approximate costings and then chose who we felt was the best outcome. We also got drivers from the last leg (if we liked them) to quote - they were so ready to do so!! Not always cheaper. Pick and choose - it worked very well for us. We finished the loop way in front of any permanent driver costs. It's super easy, have confidence.
Our driver Walpita did an excellent job in picking us up in Tangalle area and getting us to Ella. He was on time, catered to our needs and drove carefully. As for the safari, one of his colleagues took over. He showed us around, and gave some interesting facts on the wildlife he encountered. Overall a great trip. I would definitely book them again.
