De tour begint in Shibuya, vanwaar u de beroemde Shibuya Crossing bezoekt, een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden van Tokio. De tour gaat vervolgens verder naar Meiji Shrine, een vredig heiligdom omgeven door bossen en gewijd aan keizer Meiji. Vervolgens neemt u de trein naar het Keizerlijk Paleis, de hoofdresidentie van de Japanse keizerlijke familie, waar er tijd is om de omgeving te bewonderen en foto's te maken. Daarna verken je Akihabara, bekend als het centrum van de anime- en mangacultuur. De volgende stop is Asakusa, de thuisbasis van de historische Senso-ji Tempel en een levendige winkelen gevuld met traditionele snacks en souvenirs. Gasten die de lunchoptie selecteren, zullen genieten van een lokale maaltijd, terwijl anderen vrije tijd hebben om op hun gemak te verkennen en te eten. De tour eindigt in Asakusa voor degenen die kiezen voor de Basic optie. Als u de Skytree ticket optie selecteert (met of zonder lunch), gaat de tour verder naar Tokyo Skytree, waar u naar boven kunt gaan en kunt genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht over de stad.

We beginnen de tour door de gids te ontmoeten bij het Hachiko standbeeld. Daarna ontdekken we de Shibuya-oversteek voordat we naar het Meiji-heiligdom gaan – ongeveer 40 minuten rijden. We gaan dan naar het keizerlijk paleis. Hier hebben we een stop van 30 minuten om de majestueuze buitenkant van de officiële residentie van de keizer te bewonderen en te fotograferen. Hoewel we het paleis zelf niet betreden, kunt u genieten van uitzicht op de indrukwekkende poorten, traditionele architectuur en de omliggende grachten en tuinen. Van daaruit rijden we verder naar de nabijgelegen Hamarikyu Gardens, een oase van rust bij de baai van Tokio. We brengen hier ongeveer 40 minuten door met een rustige wandeling tussen traditionele Japanse landschappen, theehuizen en seizoensgebonden bloemen – allemaal tegen een achtergrond van de skyline van de stad.
Zie de levendige straten van Akihabara, Tokyo's hub voor elektronica, anime en popcultuur, bekend om zijn oogverblindende lichten en levendige energie.
Bezoek de historische wijk Asakusa en verken Senso-ji, de oudste tempel van Tokio. Geniet van vrije tijd voor sightseeing, winkelen of een traditionele lunch (indien geselecteerd). Als u de optie Basic hebt geselecteerd, eindigt de tour in Asakusa. Als u daarentegen de optie met tickets of met tickets en lunch heeft geselecteerd, gaat de tour verder naar de Skytree Tower.
De tour eindigt bij de iconische Tokyo Skytree, een van de hoogste bouwwerken ter wereld. Gasten die de optie inclusief ticket selecteren, hebben de mogelijkheid om naar het observatiedek te stijgen en met hun Gids te genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht over de stad.

This is a great intro to Tokyo, with multiple stops to places of interest throughout! Our tour guide, George, did an amazing job of translating everything in multiple languages - even though I was the only person completely reliant on English! The tour was fun, informative, and covered a lot of bases. A perfect choice for my first day in Tokyo!
Lily was very good, friendly and easy to get along with!
There’s lots of walking involved but great for seeing a lot. George was great and very informative about Japanese culture and history of the shrine and the palace. Also showing us where to get good souvenirs. It was great to have time to explore Akihabara and know where to come back to.

You see a lot in a relatively short amount of time, which was fantastic. And our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and gave us a lot of useful history that made what we saw come alive. However, be prepared to walk a lot if they switch the mode of transportation from a bus to the local rail system as they did with our tour group at the last minute.
Lily was an excellent tour guide! This tour involved quite a bit of walking, but she was very mindful of the group’s needs and made a point to stop whenever anyone needed a break. She kept a comfortable pace, made sure no one was left behind, and was always happy to answer questions. Her knowledge of Tokyo’s history, culture, and landmarks made each stop more meaningful, and her friendly personality made the day enjoyable from start to finish. We visited some incredible sites and learned so much along the way. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend requesting Lily as your guide. She helped make our day in Tokyo a wonderful experience!

Our guide Lily was spectacular, and even though it did not stop raining, everything was perfect.
This tour was not as advertised. When we booked the tour, private bus transportation was advertised but was changed to subway transportation without any advanced notice. An advertised visit to the Hamarikyu gardens was also canceled with the change to subway travel. The tour company then gave us Skytree tickets that we could not use until 4 hours after the tour ended (since we had already plans for the evening we had to skip skytree altogether). The company did refund us for the skytree tickets not used but did not issue any refund for the transportation and activity changes. It should be noted that the guide, Fran, was very friendly and knowledgeable.
