Je lokale expert zal je ontmoeten in je hotel en je begeleiden naar de oevers van de Ganges rivier voor een meeslepende start van je spirituele reis. Terwijl je naar de ghats loopt, laat je gids je kennismaken met de eerste glimp van het ritme van het leven bij de rivier – pelgrims baden, de lokale bevolking voert ochtendgebeden uit en de levendige cultuur die een van 's werelds oudste levende steden definieert.
Aankomst bij de ghats en begin uw dag met een serene boottocht bij zonsopgang langs de Ganges rivier, waarbij u van Dashashwamedh Ghat naar Manikarnika Ghat reist. Onderweg kunt u getuige zijn van de heilige ochtendrituelen, traditionele crematieceremonies en de levendige spirituele sfeer die het leven langs de rivieroevers bepaalt.
Na de boottocht geniet u van een begeleide wandeling door de smalle tempelsteegjes. Eerste bezoek kashi vishwanath Tempel – Een van de heiligste tempels gewijd aan Heer Shiva. Je gids zal verhalen delen over Varanasi’s spirituele erfgoed en de gebruiken en dagelijkse rituelen van de stad uitleggen.
Na de stadswandeling pauzeert uw gids op een populaire lokale straathoek waar u traditionele ontbijtopties kunt verkennen en authentieke Varanasi-smaken kunt proeven. Verken vervolgens de rustige campus van BHU, de grootste universiteit van Azië, bekend om zijn academische geschiedenis en culturele betekenis. U kunt ook Bharat Kala Bhavan bezoeken als de tijd het toelaat.
Rij richting Sarnath, waar Boeddha zijn eerste preek hield na de verlichting. Het is een rustige plek met ruïnes, tempels en een sereen hertenpark, de geboorteplaats van het boeddhisme.
Bezoek vervolgens de Ashoka Pilaar, gebouwd door keizer Ashoka in de 3e eeuw voor Christus. Het is een van de oudste stenen inscripties in India en symboliseert de verspreiding van het boeddhisme onder Ashoka's bewind. Hoewel het oorspronkelijke leeuwenkapiteel zich nu in het museum bevindt, blijft de pilaar een belangrijk hoogtepunt van Sarnath.
Dit is een massieve cilindrische structuur die de exacte plek markeert waar Boeddha zijn eerste leringen gaf. De stoepa is 43 meter hoog en is versierd met ingewikkeld houtsnijwerk dat het rijke boeddhistische erfgoed weerspiegelt.
Keer terug naar uw hotel voor een korte rust of om u op te frissen voordat u eropuit trekt voor de avondervaring. Deze pauze stelt u in staat om te ontspannen en op te laden na de dag sightseeing voordat u getuige bent van een van Varanasi's meest boeiende spirituele rituelen.
Rond 17.00 uur, als de zon onder begint te gaan, ga je naar Dashashwamedh Ghat om getuige te zijn van de iconische Ganga Aarti - een boeiend hindoeïstisch ritueel met gesynchroniseerde gezangen, olielampen en offers aan de heilige Ganges-rivier. Good experience touring the streets of Varanasi. The guide spoke well. Zain was excellent.

It was very nice to see the Aarti on the Ganges; we had the opportunity to be on the boat. Then Himanshu took us on a tour and it was very interesting.

The tour with Zain was very nice in itself and we saw a lot. However, we did not find the value for money completely balanced. We followed the tour from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and in the evening the ceremony, which lasted about two hours including travel time. The whole thing felt a bit fleeting. Nor were rules regarding photography or video always clearly indicated. The guide told a lot of interesting information, but was also on the phone regularly in between. All in all we found the price on the high side for what the tour ultimately offered.

Our Guide Hamanshu, picked us up at 6am, and we started off with a boat ride along the Gange, he was very knowledgeable about Varnasi and it's culture, we throughly enjoyed our day with him and got to see a few things that were not on the gender as he was good at catering to our requests, On the whole it was educational, friendly, great day, would not hesitate to recommend Hamanshu as a tour guide in what ever you are interested in

This experience was a wonderful tour of Varanasi. Our tour guides Suhel and Zain were extremely welcoming and accommodated the tour to fit our exact needs and wishes. We had delicious food across Varanasi and had a wonderful time seeing the city, including Shri Kashi Vishwanath, a boat ride, the university, Sarnath, and front-row seats at Ganga Aarti at Aasi Ghat. After our tour concluded at 8pm, Suhel and Zain waited around with us and escorted us to Shri Kaal Bhairav Temple at 11pm, demonstrating their true desire to show us a meaningful time. They even drove our friend back to her hotel which was separate from our own pickup/dropoff location. This ensured that she was safe during the night time and is the perfect representation of this company’s service mindset.
It’s incredibly rewarding to know that Suhel and Zain went beyond the planned tour to make your time in Varanasi truly meaningful. Their flexibility in shaping the day around your wishes, from the city’s sights and food to the boat ride and front-row Ganga Aarti experience, clearly made the journey special. What stands out most is the care they showed after the tour had officially ended, staying with you until the late visit to Shri Kaal Bhairav Temple and making sure your friend reached her hotel safely.
