Reis met onze dagtour, te beginnen met een pick-up van uw hotel of Nijlcruise in Luxor door een Gelicentieerde Tour Gids. Je wordt overgebracht in een privé-aircovoertuig naar de Westelijke Jordaanoever van de Nijl.
De Vallei der Koningen is een oude koninklijke begraafplaats in Egypte, de thuisbasis van uitgebreid versierde graven van machtige farao's zoals Toetanchamon, Ramses II en Seti I, die ongeëvenaarde inzichten bieden in de oude Egyptische geschiedenis en overtuigingen.
De dodentempel van Hatsjepsoet, een indrukwekkend architectonisch wonder gewijd aan de beroemde vrouwelijke farao, is een bewijs van haar opmerkelijke heerschappij en bijdragen aan de oude Egyptische beschaving.
Sluit uw dag af met een bezoek aan de Vallei der Koninginnen, een begraafplaats voor de vrouwen van farao's in de oudheid. De vallei, ook wel bekend als Ta-Set-Neferu, herbergde de graven van koninginnen, prinsen, prinsessen en adel. Leer meer over de dagelijkse rituelen uitgevoerd door mortuariumpriesters en de betekenis van deze serene begraafplaats. De Vallei der Koninginnen ligt vlakbij de bekendere Vallei der Koningen.
Ga nu verder naar de Kolossen van Memnon. De Kolossen van Memnon zijn enorme tweelingbeelden gemaakt van blokken kwartsietzandsteen.
Verken Medinat Habu, gelegen aan de voet van de Thebaanse heuvels op de westelijke oever van de rivier de Nijl, tegenover het moderne Luxor, Egypte. De belangrijkste attractie is de dodentempel van Ramses III, een 150 meter lang bouwwerk dat sterk lijkt op de dodentempel van Ramses II. Breng 2 uur door met het ontdekken van de ingewikkelde details van deze tempel, inclusief andere tempels in de Habu-tempel, zoals de Tempel van Amon uit de 18e dynastie, gebouwd door koningin Hatsjepsoet en Thoetmosis III.
Vervolg uw dagtocht naar Deir el-Medina, bekend als de Vallei van de Arbeider. Dit oude Egyptische dorp was de thuisbasis van ambachtslieden die tijdens de 18e tot de 20e dynastie aan de graven in de Vallei der Koningen werkten. Verken de goed bewaarde schilderijen en krijg inzicht in het dagelijkse leven van de arbeiders. Breng 2 uur door met het ontdekken van de geschiedenis van dit unieke dorp

Very interesting day trip in the Valley of Kings near Luxor..Barry our tour guide has a Masters in Egyptology and gave an insightful deep dive into ancient history. The details provided on the paintings and carvings of the temples and tombs was very interesting. The temples were stunning. So impressive to see how well they have survived over thousands of years. The lunch in Carter's restaurant was very good, with vegetarian options. Plenty of beautiful photo opportunities Thank you Barry!!

We started early with a 6am pickup. Our guide, Barry, communicated clearly the night before on the time, the vehicle, and the driver. The driver, Hassan, was friendly and pointed out local items of interest on our way to pick up Barry on the way to the West Bank of Luxor. Barry asked what we wanted to see, gave suggestions and then immediately adapted the tour to fit our interested, the heat, and the crowds. Barry had a wealth of knowledge to share and welcomed questions relating to what we saw. I booked the experience that did not involve them buying tickets and that was no problem, Barry helped me know what to buy and even checked that the specific tombs were open complete and worth the cost instead of being partially closed as sometimes occurs. All in we were together for about six hours and I could not be happier with the experience with Barry. He asked if there was more we wanted to see but we were satisfied with our morning experience before the sun was cooking any more. Highly recommend that you ask for him when booking. 10/10 would do it again with the power team Barry/Hassan.
