Aan de Argentijnse kant kun je letterlijk over de watervallen lopen. "The Great Adventure" is een excursie die u niet mag missen bij uw volgende bezoek aan Puerto Iguazú. Bekend als de "doop van de watervallen"; Deze tour combineert de adrenaline van slechts enkele meters verwijderd zijn van de watervallen, met een jungletocht in een 4x4 en een opblaasbare gomon. Zonder twijfel een ervaring om nooit meer te vergeten!

Een van de meest populaire plaatsen om te bezoeken in de Iguazú-watervallen is de Garganta del Diablo. Om bij deze indrukwekkende plek te komen moet je de trein nemen naar station Garganta del Diablo. Vanaf daar moet je over enkele metalen loopbruggen lopen naar een panoramisch punt waar je de totale onmetelijkheid van deze sprong kunt waarderen. Dit is inclusief de tijd die nodig is om van de hotels naar de eerste stop van de tour te komen.
Superior Circuit: Deze tour biedt een wandeling door het bovenste gedeelte van de watervallen. Het is een 1750 meter lange route die een panoramisch uitzicht biedt over het geheel van de watervallen en de delta van de rivier de Iguazú. Zes grote uitkijkpunten en rustplaatsen maken van de wandeling een bron van energie en ontspanning in contact met het water. Lower Circuit: met een loopbrug die onder de watervallen door gaat, naar het hart van de watervallen, biedt dit circuit een meer intieme ervaring met het landschap en volledig contact met de natuur. Daarin kan de bezoeker de geest van de jungle "voelen": de vochtigheid, de geluiden, de aroma's, de doordringende stoom die het hele gebied overneemt. Het is een cirkelvormige route van ongeveer 1800 meter waardoor je toegang hebt tot 8 zeer aantrekkelijke uitzichtpunten.
Geweldig 4x4-avontuur: begint in het Iguazú National Park (Argentijnse kant) en stapt in een 4x4-truck die de diepten van de jungle in gaat, langs de Yacaratiá- en Puerto Macuco-paden. De tour gaat verder met een afdaling van 100 meter naar beneden, met als hoogtepunt de junglebasis van Puerto Macuco, waar je aankomt bij het drijvende dok om aan boord te gaan van de halfstijve rubberboot. Dit avontuur gaat verder; Met de reddingsvesten al aan, varen we richting de Iguazú rivierkloof, zonder de watervallen uit het oog te verliezen. Het beste komt in het laatste stuk; Navigerend in de wateren van de Argentijnse watervallen, wordt het maximale punt van emotie bereikt bij het zien van de onvergelijkbare Salto San Martín, de op één na grootste waterval en de grootste die een boot kan naderen. Het gaat onder verschillende regenbogen door en een doop van verse mist laat sensaties achter op het oppervlak. Dit is inclusief de tijd die nodig is om terug te keren naar uw hotel.

Vervoer heen en terug is bij de meeste hotels in Puerto Iguazu beschikbaar. Alleen op Argentijns grondgebied. Als je in Foz do Iguaçu bent, ga dan naar het dichtstbijzijnde verzamelpunt. - Ophalen van het vliegveld! Als uw vlucht vertraagd is of niet op het geplande tijdstip vertrekt, wordt dit ZONDER UITZONDERING als een NO SHOW beschouwd.
- Kinderwagens zijn te huur bij de ingang van het park. Alleen voor kinderen tot 3 jaar.
- Als je voedsel in je rugzak meedraagt, haal het er dan niet uit op plekken waar neusberen kunnen voorkomen. Deze kleine diertjes, die er heel schattig uitzien, zijn helemaal niet zo schattig.
- Neem een waterdichte hoes mee voor je mobiele telefoon of camera.
- Neem zonnebrandcrème, een hoed, water en een zonnebril mee.
- Neem een regenjas of poncho mee als het regent of als je niet te nat wilt worden tijdens de lagere route of de Great Adventure-excursie. We raden shirts aan die het hele lichaam bedekken, en als ze strakke boorden hebben, is dat nog beter.

It was a very complete experience, one of the best tours in this area; the guide explained everything very well. The only recommendation is to bring clothes to change into because we ended up very wet.

One of the worst excursions I took. The company is a monopoly within the park; they have all the attractions to do with them or nothing. My dad was not allowed to take the excursion because he was labeled as a "person with a disability" because they saw that he did not walk "normally," while there were adults over 60 years old with hip prostheses, shoe lifts, and even with canes doing the excursion. When we asked for an explanation regarding this, everyone washed their hands of it, and the only response we received was that there are gray areas, and it depends on the person who is there at that moment and the criteria they use to allow or not allow someone to take the excursion... I am still waiting for the refund, not only of the money but also for the harm caused to my father and the bad experience he had when they took him off the truck after we had already paid and he had been loaded on. The excursion and this company are really not worth it; it is much more rewarding to take the flight in a small plane or the hike than the boat ride they offer, which is a burden... Not only does the service leave much to be desired, but the people who work there are very disrespectful.

First of all, the waterfalls are absolutely spectacular and breathtaking so everyone should go and see them! However, I personally do not recommend this tour. Firstly, the tour operator didn’t confirm the time and place of pickup until I chased them on both Viator and WhatsApp. They finally responded at 5:40pm the day before the tour. Secondly, the tour was very poorly time managed. Despite it advertising in the description that both the upper and lower circuits of the national park were included PLUS the boat ride (which is one of the reasons why I picked it) we did not have time to do the lower circuit. There was a lot of waiting around (and the heat was quite difficult to bear). Despite us arriving at the national park at around 8:45am, by 3:30pm we barely just did the Devil’s throat and the boat ride, with no lunch break. Those on the group that didn’t sign up for the boat ride, did go on the lower circuit during the boat ride. However, I signed up for this trip to do all of it. It was extremely disappointing to have so much wasted time waiting around. I don’t understand why the group was not split in two. I understand that times for the boat ride can vary and can get the schedule moved around, however the guide planned for the lower circuit to happen during the boat ride. There was no intention to make it happen for everyone. Also, we haven’t stayed in the cafe area for more than 15minutes which meant no time to have a proper meal. I think there are better tours out there or people can do it even on their own
Hi Cristina, how are you? We always let you know the pickup time the day before, after 7:00 PM. This is because we have to put together a pickup schedule. I understand your concern, but for now, this is how we operate. I should also mention that you’ve booked a regular tour, not a private one, so you’ll need to accept our way of doing things! Beware! I would not book through this company. I booked the all day jungle adventure which in the confirmation it clearly stated a boat tour and 4x4 jungle experience. We were picked up 30 minutes late and then told we did not book the full tour. I showed the guide and then the tour operator the proof of the itinerary and description that both showed the boat and 4x4. Although this could be a bait and switch I truly believe they just had wrong info publicized on the confirmation and materials. The biggest concern is I addressed this right at the beginning of our tour and they wouldn’t offer a refund or any compensation even though I shared the info with them. Lastly the tour guide was nice but really she just pointed out where to go and we could have done everything on our own. But she was still the only thing positive on this whole experience. By the way we did a tour on the Brazil side the day prior and everything was fantastic and it was exactly as promised so again this was a “this company’ issue and should not reflect poorly on other reputable companies
We have just returned from Argentina, a fabulous and sumptuous country. We especially recommend UMA TRAVEL for the tour around SALTA and our Francophone guide Moricio who knew with patience (for the many photo stops) and a lot of humor accompany us to Cafayate and Humamarca. Fantastic experience. Being under the 70 meter high waterfalls is a hnica experience. Not to be missed in iguazu. Get ready to get wet to the bone!!
